Clean, comfortable, very friendly and helpful.

We found this gem of a small hotel after a terrible experience with a rental booking that we could not access because the automatic door to the building was malfunctioning-our keyfobs would not open the door! It was raining and we were advised another hotel but found the Dauphin on the way. The young man who was the night clerk and signed us in was friendly and professional. Charlotte, who was working in the morning gave us invaluable advice and help in telephoning the booking agency. She really went out of her way to help us. To wind up: a clean, well-located, cheery hotel with a lovely breakfast. We would stay there again and highly recommend it. The staff gets SIX stars!

Great location in town, very helpful and friendly staff. Room comfortable without being being lavish, nice to open the big windows and lap up the street atmosphere below. But good to close at night for quiet for sleep
Bathroom a bit tight, to keep in mind. And no AC but this was late September so not an issue to close windows for sleeping. Room cool enough

They have rats or mice, do not go to this place.

Do not go to this hotel, the pictures are misleading. We had an extremely small room and we had PACKAGED food in our bags that was eaten by RATS or MICE. They had problems with the payment and made us pay more than we were supposed to. Even after explaining they had us contact the manager but we never heard back from him. The staff was nice but not helpful.
We could hear the rats walking around in our room at night while we tried to sleep. going here is a waste of money because they will just have you pay more when you book with booking.com.

Hotel in Excellent Location

Hotel located in an excellent location, in the center of the city of Lyon. The room - booked through Booking - was quite small, but very comfortable and clean. The staff, very kind and helpful, allowed us to store our luggage after check-out, so that we could collect them shortly before our departure.

No professionalism

We booked a superior room for €109/night.
We were particularly disappointed by the lack of professionalism of the receptionist on Saturday morning.
The breakfast room was dirty, the tables not cleared..
