We will be back and looking forward to see the changes, well done everyone , delighted for the hotel it’s a beautiful p

The hotel has been taken over by new people and the improvements in the hotel are amazing. The beds are bigger more comfortable. Rooms cleaner and much brighter and also good tv. You can have your own Netflix.Food OK but could be better, breakfast very poor not much of an option, guess that will improve as they do up the hotel. Looking forward to going back. All staff very friendly and welcoming.

Change for the worst, not the hotel we remember

We used stay here frequently over the years when it was a family run, safe establishment. The staff were warm and friendly, they are now replaced by cold monotone non -nationals. The new owners are also operating a centre for economic migrants on the premises and have no regard for hotel guests safety. The hotel is very very badly managed with no contact point or proper manager available to complain to.
A cheeky girl waiting on tables in the bar was rude to my wife as was a snappy woman in the run down leisure club. The food in the bar was dreadful, i felt ill afterwards. Just slopped on the plate, badly presented and cold. I can't believe any chef would let such inferior plates out of the kitchen. At breakfast sausages were burned and rashers nearly raw, disgusting. Coffee was horrendous, croissants seemed days old. This place is now soulless and depressing and has lost it old, welcoming, friendly faces. We won't ever return

The receptionist was amazing too bad the water pressure was awful and rooms were cold with no heating.

Trying to be a 3 Star but not there yet

Whilst our bedroom was clean and spacious and had been redecorated, it was evident throughout the hotel that there is so much in need of an upgrade. “Renovation in Progress” signs all over the place. Cardboard covering broken windows in the leisure centre, some parts of the hotel closed off completely. I appreciate that they are working to upgrade but it really let itself down on overall appearance.
Back to the bedroom - 6 pillows in the room all the same - too solid and no choice. The en-suite whilst having new tiles retained the old furniture, cracked sink and small stained shower.
The breakfast was poor, sparse and obviously cheap ingredients, the toaster kept jamming and burning the toast, the choice very limited and only one member of staff present.
On a positive, the coffee in the bar was good, the reception person welcoming and the location good for what we needed.
Not sure it was worth the €179 B&B rate for one night and can’t see us returning unless there are significant and lasting changes

There were some renovations underway, but the place was clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and courteous.
