Simple but clean and very friendly hotel. I recommend for a holiday with ease
Creola excursions may seem a little expensive but they are well organized and meals included for day trips. Preferential rate for 3 main excursions: boat trip (max 10-12 pers on board) to the day with swimming stops, visits to the islands and unlimited rum on the boat with very friendly captain; day in the south Chamarel, rum, waterfall, ...; and finally 1/2 day garden of Grapefruit and Port Louis (local market and souvenirs).
Only downside, the beach of the hotel almost non-existent because ravaged by last hurricane but that does not prevent us from swimming in the sea in clean and hot water (warmer than the pool!). Deckchairs in sufficient quantity by the sea or by the pool. In short I spent 12 beautiful days, met holidaymakers and entertainment team all very nice ( clientele half French half English ). I do not regret my choice of this hotel!

An Experience I Would Never Repeat — Deeply Disappointing and Traumatic
My first room was overrun with lizards — not just the occasional one you’d expect on a tropical island, but four or more visibly darting around the room at any given time. The rooms are not sealed properly, with cracks and holes throughout. The gap above the door was so wide it could fit a towel folded several times. It was a constant stream of unwelcome wildlife. After two sleepless nights — and in tears at the thought of spending my birthday in these conditions — I demanded to be moved at 1am.
The second room was slightly better in terms of lizards but shockingly dirty. I was grateful they moved me quickly, but I raised serious cleanliness concerns the next morning. Unfortunately, nothing was ever addressed. The door didn’t lock, the shower lacked a curtain, and the room had several maintenance issues. Black mold lined the bathroom tiles, there were stains on the toilet walls, the seat was discolored, and dust covered most furnishings. The beds were hard and squeaky, and the linens were off-white at best.
To make matters worse, we experienced a full-blown ant infestation in the bathroom. My daughter couldn’t even use the shower because it was swarming with ants in the morning. Housekeeping was superficial — beds were made, towels changed, and a bar of soap replaced, but the sand we brought back from the beach remained untouched for days.
The hygiene problems extended to the dining experience as well. The buffet was tiny, barely larger than a school cafeteria counter, and the selection was dismal. One evening, both my friend and I fell ill after eating there. The snack bar was no better — limited and stingy.
Safety and comfort were further compromised by stray dogs roaming the property, including corridors near guest rooms. It was unsettling, especially at night, and we were frequently woken up by barking in the early hours.
To top it all off, my friend’s room had a disturbing experience. An open closet connected to her bathroom — completely empty — twice erupted in loud banging and scurrying noises, which we believe was a rat. That was the final straw.
After enduring four miserable days, we cut our losses and moved to a luxury villa. It was an unexpected expense, but absolutely worth it to salvage the remainder of our holiday. I only wish we had left sooner.
The only positive note was the receptionist, Vanessa, who was kind. The resort itself has potential, but it’s completely overshadowed by neglect, poor maintenance, and a lack of basic cleanliness and care.
This stay not only ruined the start of what was supposed to be a dream holiday in Mauritius but came close to ruining my entire birthday. I truly hope others think twice before booking. It was one of the most regrettable travel experiences I’ve ever had!

Nice but remote place...
Limited number of deckchairs just like the buffet. It is a small hotel with good value for money and lovely staff. If you are staying here do not hesitate to rent a car to discover the island...

Small hotel just perfect
Simple and without too many people
The staff is extremely kind and competent..the meals are varied and very good the animators of the Creola club are just great kind caring and who do everything possible to have a pleasant stay
The excursions by creola may seem a little expensive but they are too well organized.. pick up at the hotel everything is included at no time we were disappointed.. we made the 5 islands (the captain's hole, the island at the lighthouse, waterfall, deer island with a super captain), the land of seven colors (with visit of Indu palace and chamarel accompanied by our guide Rachel) visit to port louis (and the grapefruit garden tjs with Rachel) then to finish the dolphins (with a great crew Nicolas and jo with whom we spent a magical day.. we had the chance to swim with dolphins, see a huge turtle, a ray, full of starfish then we caught the fish they prepared us barbecue for lunch just perfect)

Terrible hotel in every way
The island is full of fruits, but you don't eat them here, because the hotel does not serve, and drive 4-5km to the nearest shop. It's not nice. I realized I had to wear my own vegetables for breakfast. After a hotel like this, you don't want to go to Mauritius anymore. Next time, I'll choose the countries tested.
