Family friendly, local dishes and happy staff.

Family restaurant with big playing area, good local food and very friendly staff.Recommended with little kids and if you want to experience the local culture of gastronomy and beers.
I had the schweinebraten mit knodl und kraut. It was amazing, I reccomend it

A nice little room, but unfortunately from a "paper"

Breakfast was good. Room facilities are nice (wooden), small bathroom, but functional and clean. Menu for dinner was good but a bit pricey for that place.
Unfortunately, the walls and floors of the accommodation were made of "paper". We heard talking from other rooms, it was not possible to walk quietly in the corridor. More pension then the hotel.

Babyfriendly restaurant and hotel!

We love this place. So many customers where there (Sunday) and stuff made their Best! I can recommend this place especialy for families with children! No smoking restaurant. Nice decorations and music.

Horrible service, reheated food

Reheated food and horrible service. Could not even be so nice and friendly when entering the restaurant. Waiting to be seated staff rushed by without saying Hello. Yes it was busy, but greetings take no time do they? Schweinehaxe was reheated from god know how long ago.

Utter rip off on price!!!

I had some absolutely amazing food in Prague at very reasonable prices, unfortunately this place can't provide either. It was my first experience of local cuisine which was adequate but my girlfriend's meal was abysmal. A chicken breast on some steamed broccoli and cauliflower probably of the microwave bag variety. "Lucky I ordered a side of fries," she whispered. However to her disappointment a cold side plate with a child's fist full of soft fries was plonked next to her. The quality of the food wasn't to be admired, and then we were stung by the price 1500 ck £44 for what seemed below pub standard food this seemed to be extravagant. Waiters at all the other restaurants left us with a bill to examine, one friendly waiter even explained the service charge which is typically 15%. The waiter at Hotel Restaurant Svejk stood over us changing the bill, for bread we had eaten and then told us what he would want as a service charge. The food came to 1250 and he said with service 1500ck. This was the only place we ate on our weeks stay when the food came above 800ck and in those places I tended to have more than 1 drink as they were relaxed and friendly unlike this poor excuse for an eating establishment.
