Andrew is the best!

Incredible experience. I was bridesmaid at a wedding and stayed for two nights. I thought in a boutique hotel it would be difficult to navigate our needs but this was the complete opposite thanks to Andrew. Andrew’s customer service was unmatched and thanks to his attentiveness I will go out of my way to return. The best service I’ve ever had thanks to Andrew!!!!

Faulty towers -without the laughs

Booked the Selwyn for our wedding night. It was a nightmare to set up and we were chasing them with emails for weeks before just going in there to get it 'sorted'.
Unfortunately, when we arrived at the Selwyn after an incredible wedding day we were shown to a room that was clearly in use by someone else ( golf clubs , jewellery everywhere , bed unmade. ) we were worried from a security perspective that they had just let us in. The man at reception apologised for the mistake and gave us a new key. This didn't work. I went down to reception again (and repeat this cycle twice more) my new wife was sat in a corridor in her beautiful wedding dress contemplating whether or not we could get an Uber home before he eventually came up himself with a master key and seemingly buzzed rooms at random looking for a free one.
He found us a very small room (not the room we had ordered) and left it at that. We could barely fit all belongings and presents in the room and had to hang the dress in the bathroom.
The location is excellent, the breakfast is fairly standard but the staff/ management / organisation was very poor. I am not the type to complain but seeing my wife sat in a corridor in her wedding dress , close to tears was very disappointing !

Hidden Gem!

Well what a wonderful 'hidden gem' this place is! Been past so many times, and so pleased I popped in for breakfast on day. That led to deciding to book the bar space for celebratory birthday drinks for 20 people - and so pleased I did. Was so well looked after on the day, by the wonderfully calm Ala, in a lovely environment. Well done team Selwyn!

Amazing staff, location and accommodation

This hotel is just perfect. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Diego went above and beyond to welcome us and accommodate my aunt’s mobility challenges. Damian made sure we felt special and cared for anytime he saw us. Those gentleman alone would have made the stay fabulous. The space itself is classy and impeccable. The location is ideal. Walkable to everything! I would absolutely stay here any time I visit Richmond…and possibly even my next visit to London in general!
