Perfect location
The Royal Islander is the perfect Sint Maarten destination. Looking out over Maho Bay with lush gardens and pool in the foreground, What A View! Restaurants, shopping, and amenities are all around. Nina Persaud, management, Princess Harris, vacation consultant, Jelen, at the desk, and all staff are there to help and support. We so look forward to our trip to the island every year. It never gets dull or old. Been making our summer vacation there almost every year (except Covid) for 30 plus times. What a special place!

Quite disappointed in overall stay! Absolutely do not recommend!
The staff at the Royal Islander Club la Plage were extremely rude! The rooms had visible mold spores, bugs, dirty linen. When we notified the front desk with our concerns, they appeared very angry and made it difficult to resolve. The hot tub did not work! After being a Wyndham timeshare owner for more than 20 years, we have many mixed opinions regarding RCI. The overall stay was quite disappointing! In the future if we choose to book with RCI, a thorough research will have to be done because everything online was very deceiving to say the least!

Perfect location and very comfortable
At first I was a little skeptical about this hotel being that I was in between this one and the sonesta. I also was a little worried because i read that it had no restaurants on site and being with hungry teenagers I was nervous. However, i am so glad i went with this place. The price was great for a family of 4, the room was super comfortable, the kitchen was perfect with absolutely everything you need as well as the bathroom. The AC worked perfectly, the hot water did too. We had a ocean view and the views of the planes approaching landing was great! The pool was awesome although it’s a little deep if you’re a non swimmer but floaties are welcomed. Tortuga maho beach is right on site and it was perfect for breakfast lunch and dinner. The hotel has a bar in the lobby that in the mornings offer breakfast and coffee. Lastly, the location was absolutely perfect! Lots to do right outside, clubs, restaurants, a supermarket and small local breakfast spots also.. the airport! Truly recommend this hotel, it’s 2 mins from the airport, staff was wonderful and check in/out a breeze!

Best place to vacation
We have been coming here for many years. This is our happy place. You will get 100% service from everyone. From front desk, housekeeping, security guards, grounds, towel hut. The place is immaculate. The units have everything you need.
Convenient to great restaurants, casino, supermarket across the street. A beautiful pool, and a beautiful beach. Be sure to stop by the lobby bar from 7AM until 11AM. Be greeted by a lovely lady named Kemeshia. She has so many things to offer a at reasonable price. Whether it be coffee, freshly squeezed orange juice, croissants, cappuccino, ginger shots, and she makes the best bloody Mary's on the island. Don't miss this piece of paradise.

We enjoyed our stay in a ground level 2-bedroom unit. The pool and beach are right outside the door and everything that you could need is within walking distance. We enjoyed eating out at all the surrounding restaurants. The unit was clean and in good working order. We utilized the laundry room and that was also clean and easy to use. All of the staff were friendly and accommodating. We especially enjoyed the gentleman at the pool running bingo and pool exercise, while we did not participate, he was engaging and a real asset to those who did. The only negative was that our neighbor above us for the last 3 nights spent much of the night moving chairs around which was disruptive to our sleep. I would only recommend that they consider adding felt furniture pads to the chairs to minimize this disruption. We would definitely return to this hotel again without hesitation.
