Good value for the money, nice staff

Got a small single room up the stairs, for mere Euro 28. Kind and welcoming people work / run the place, together with the terraced restaurant below.
Perfectly suitable for an overnight stay, and a meal in the restaurant.
Stayed there only one night, during my Parenzana bike track between Trieste and Porec.

double check before you go

Made a reservation by phone. Called a few hours before arrival to check very politely the availability of the room. The owner was apparently very annoyed by the request and sharply (to say the least) replied that if we had placed a reservation there was no reason to worry (meaning: to piss off). When we arrived, no room was available. Not a word of apology. We were redirected to "a friend" who offered a decent accommodation in a private house (actually, a better one, because, as we discovered later, the main village square, a few strides from Sobe Pintur, was very noisy those days because of an otherwise quite enjoyable jazz festival). Their restaurant was also a very disappointing experience (our fault: we should have guessed!). Grožnjan is a gem a few physical miles but thousands of conceptual miles away from the hell of the Istrian coast. Why on Earth they have to be so rude and cheap with the source of their living is a mystery!

Tiny, but has everything

We just spent a night. Rooms in the very centre of the town. Parking place very close, free. Rooms are small, but you will find everything you need, comfortable beds, clean bathroom, tv, free wifi. Mrs Maria and her crew very friendly, breakfast very good. Too bad they are not dog friendly, but who knows...Be sure to visit Kamenko next door for very nice souvenir to remind you of Groznjan :)

In the centre of the village, but accomodation too poor.

It is a nice little hotel with lovely terrace in the centre of the village, but the room and the bathroom were too small and poorly accommodated. The air condition didn't work until we've asked for it. The breakfast was poor. The owners are very kind, and the hotel is very clean though.

A comfortable and very welcoming hotel

Located in the centre of the village with a great restaurant inside and outside. In this location you can really soak up the atmosphere of Groznjan. Our two rooms were air conditioned, comfortable and very clean. From our balcony we had superb views of the surrounding countryside and a balcony from which we could sit and enjoy them. The staff were very friendly and attentive and the hotel was very good value for money and would thoroughly recommend a stay there.
