Room is clean. Breakfast is nice. Easy to get Uber to get to anywhere in Paris. Train station is about 7-min walk. Fitness center is actually a gym next door "Magic Form", which opens at 8:00am. Still a good value stay.

An embarrassment to Marriott
Booked 6 months in advance through Chase travel. Checked the booking 1 week prior through Chase and everything was still confirmed. Arrived to hotel to be told the reservation had been cancelled in January. Called Chase travel and they had never been notified by the hotel that the hotel had canceled the reservation after initially accepting it. There are other reviews that mention similar issues so this hotel is a repeat offender. I am a frequent business traveler and this is unacceptable. Now I’m scrambling to find a new hotel at the last minute. Great start to a family vacation. Marriott, maybe you should start over with this hotel.

A comfortable all-suite hotel in a quiet Paris neighborhood
A great property tuck away in a non-touristy local neighborhood. This building used to be the Citadines service apartment but renovated and transformed into Residence Inn. Supermarket right on the property (downstairs) and a small number of restaurants, shops and groceries scattered around the premise. Walk 3 blocks south you reach the T3 tram line and 10 minutes northwest to Plaisance station (Line 13) - not the most convenient location but still manageble. The hotel is an all-suite building with kitchenette in every apartment and all suites are refurbished with modern decor and furniture. My studio apartment is not big in space but extremely functional (there are bigger suites on premise). Front desk reception is set up in the ground floor but really just for check-in/check-out purpose with service being barely minimal otherwise. Daily breakfast is provided in the breakfast room with adequate variety/amount of food. Gym and laundry facility (phone app. operated) are down in the basement. Functionality wise, this hotel really serves my needs for my business travel, the only drawback is that guest suite walls seem to be a bit thin and I could hear noise outside the corridor every night.
Overall I enjoyed my two-night stay: while this property is not as convenient as other properties I stayed in the past, but I found the place comfrotable, practical and suits my need perfectly. Most importantly the price is significantly cheaper than most other Marriott properties in Paris. I am heading back to Paris in Spring 2025 and will likely use this facility again, if the price is right.

Deeply Disappointed – Repeated Overbooking and Poor Treatment
I had an extremely disappointing experience at the Residence Inn Paris Didot Montparnasse. Despite holding two confirmed Marriott Bonvoy reservations on consecutive nights, I was denied check-in on both occasions due to overbooking. No prior solution was arranged beyond a last-minute diversion to other hotels, and the front desk staff handled the situation with a lack of courtesy and professionalism.
I was promised taxi reimbursements and assured that the second night would be honoured - only to face the exact same issue again. To make matters worse, my credit card was charged for both reservations, which were never provided.
As a frequent Marriott guest, I expect better from a brand that usually prides itself on reliability and service. This property clearly failed on both counts, and even follow-up with Marriott’s customer care has been met with silence well beyond the promised resolution timeframe.
Not recommended! Especially for loyal Bonvoy members expecting recognition and basic service delivery.

Overall basic and very friendly staff
We enjoyed this stay in 2025. This is my thorough review. Overall, simplistic, clean hotel with all the basics you need. It is in a quiet area but not too far from busier areas. It was very clean and very quiet. I did see some other families there. I would prepare to return on a future visit to the city.
Staff: I found the staff to be helpful and kind. Particularly Manuel and Gislane helped my family and were professional and accommodating. We do not speak french and so it helped as additional bonus that they spoke english for our communication.
Rooms: decent and cozy. Has fridge, microwave, cooking utensils, safe, cofee maker. Not cleaned daily however. Important to ask about this up front. Room was larger that i expected it to be (two twins together as a king) and plenty of room for us.
Grounds: very clean. Felt safe here. Elevator in good working order. No problems with noise at all
Foods: coffee/water daily. Breakfast is light options but several satisfying options were available. Coming from usa everything was 20x fresher and tastier here. Yes even hotel food is better than standard usa food.
Travel: we used bolt and uber as well as taxi but i believe you are near the public transport options too. At once i needed a taxi and hotel staff was quick to offer assistance.
Gym: located off site around the corner and has all of the basic equipment. If you prefer the quieter & smaller style of hotel gyms keep this in mind as they are partnered with a local membership gym nearby. Some of the equipment downstairs was confusing and required a membership or email to use it seemed.
