Very clean, very comfortable
Lovely hotel and grounds. About 10kms East of Cork City. Only spent one night, but the hotel is immaculate. We especially liked all the easy chairs and couches in the lobby and outside the restaurant where you could relax. We bought drinks in the bar/ restaurant and sat in these chairs, very nice. We were fortunate to get an upgrade to a suite that had a balcony. The bed was very large and very comfortable. If you wanted any shopping there was a retail parknonly 10 mins walk away. Fast food, The Range, and a pharmacy were of note.

Disappointing
I used a spa gift voucher and was disappointed with the experience. Booking online didn’t work and via phone was chaotic and took a long time. It took 5 mins on arrival to find any staff. The dressing gown provided prior to treatment was very small (size10-12) and when I asked for a larger size was told only one size was available (no way an average male would fit comfortably ). For a “relaxing” experience, I didn’t feel anything but uncomfortable trying not to expose myself when sitting in the relaxation area, which itself was underwhelming (v cool, no music, scent or atmosphere). The Elemis facial was lovely, but no information about which products were used seems a missed opportunity. The back neck and shoulder massage was much shorter than advertised and no variation in strokes used in technique, it was very average. Parts of the hydrotherapy pool weren’t working and the shower stalls had black mould on the ceiling. Overall a disappointing experience for such a promising Hotel.

Lovely stay with excellent breakfast
We had a 2 night stay here in mid May. The hotel is located outside Cork city on Little Island. It is very clean and well maintained with decent sized rooms comfortable beds. We used the pool in the Leisure Centre. The pool is a reasonable size but is more a leisure pool than a swimming pool with children playing ball etc…. Although I did not use the gym it is well equipped and looked very good.
We stayed on a B & B basis. A special mention about the breakfast. It was excellent with a great choice of fresh fruit and freshly cooked hot food, bread etc….. Without a doubt, the breakfast compares very favourably with any I have had in any other hotel both at home and abroad.
We did not have any other meals as we were meeting with friends so I cannot comment. However I did find the drink prices a bit sharp. Nevertheless I would still highly recommend this hotel for a break.

The worst night of our holidays
We arrived for dinner in the bar at 9.03pm. We had just missed the cut off. We decided to order room service. The service was disappointing and confusing. The room menu had a lot of items but they refused to serve what we asked. We were informed that only the sandwiches and soup were available. As these items were 24hour. This WAS NOT LISTED ON THE MENU. It was clear our room menu was not updated as no where on it did it say this.
In the end, we complained to the manager, and she agreed to send two pizzas free of charge. The staff member who delivered the food asked for the menu in our room to show to the manager. It was our error that we never took a photo of the menu.
It is my belief that she didn't know how to handle the situation. It escalated more than necessary as she continually insisted that 24hour was listed on the menu while it was not.
The next morning, she continued saying that we were wrong, but without having taken pictures of the menu, it was her word against ours.
Again, she escalated the situation more than it was needed. I've stayed in other Radisson hotels before, and this experience was quite disappointing, I'm going to avoid this hotel in the future, for sure.
