Great one night pre-cruise stay

The website photo of street from Motel is from "Penthouse", not from modest check-in station underneath.
The security gating is cleverly disguised with silk ivy, nice touch.
My room was in the upper right hand corner.
As I was still recovering from August 22nd rotator surgery, the super friendly gal that checked me in kindly brought my carry-on up to the room. VERY comfortable king size bed. Cool ambient lighting choices. Large tv on wall below bed. Microwave n mini fridge that Ididnt use. I didn't know you had to ask for a hairdryer.
Dinner across the street at Guy Ferrari's recommended restaurant Blue Collar was excellent!
I had the Brisket Lentil soup & grilled jalapeño corn bread. I would stay / eat here again

I live in the neighborhood so I am familiar with this hotel. The first time I stayed was when my son was in town vising for a week. The staff was courteous and polite. The room was clean and very quiet. The A/C was ice cold which was very nice during these hot days. The spacious hot shower and rainfall shower fixture was a-ma-zing. So much so that I told my husband about it and we returned for a mini getaway. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. We plan to return again especially for the cold A/C and hot shower.

Did not feel safe in this neighborhood. Door did not fully shut. Hairs all over bed and floor. Trash was still full upon arrival.

Only used it for a 2 night stay prior to boarding our cruise ship. Ideal if you only need somewhere to sleep.

I booked the premium room and I got the standard one. When complained, I got upgraded to a superior room but not the premium, as it was only one night I let it go.
