Great for weekend escape

Pensiunea Orizont is a good recomandtion for a weekend escape.
The receptionist Alexandru was very friendly. We enjoyed the donuts which they served at Reception. We stayed in a suite at 4th floor with a balcony. The suite is big and perfect for family with children. Has a bedroom, sofa bed and some toys.
The breakfast was good and various.
The location has parking spaces.

You’ll always get a friendly welcome at the Orizont

Marian and his team were very welcoming and made our short stay a very pleasant one!
The rooms were clean, comfortable and adequate for our needs, the super king size bed even more so!
The view of the mountains from our room was breathtaking, enhanced by the peace and quiet of the area.
We really enjoyed the continental breakfast which also included a piece of gorgeous cake, made by lovely, local lady.
Hot water was always available for a refreshing shower and the beds were a welcome sight after a long day exploring!
I look forward to our next visit.

A reasonable accommodation option for Poiana Brașov with a decent price/quality ratio

+ very comfortable beds despite of a quite reduced height;
+ good breakfast;
+ polite personnel.
- smell which comes from the bathroom sink;
- bathroom size with very narrow spaces;
- absence of an elevator;
- bathroom door which functioned noisily and with difficulties.

Low key, low expectations in a great location

Low key reception, friendly and accommodating, room was nice size, but one of them had bad sewer smells, and hot water was not always available. Carpets could use replacing. Breakfast was great, and plentiful, WiFi was working fine throughout the property. Place was a bit hard to find with GPS as there is no true consecrated road leading to it, just a gravel road from a parking lot. Once identified, it was an easy walk around through the resort. I'd recommend it for low budget expectations.

Nice but could do with some improvements

Spent two nights in the place. Room was cosy and clean, with a big enough double bed.
Located about 10 min walk from Bardul ski slope and a lot of restaurants, we didn't have to use the car for the duration of the trip.
The guys at the front desk are really friendly. They will prepare a nice cup of tea for you. Bonus, we got cake and hot wine on the house :)
As a minus, housekeeping could have put a bit more effort in cleaning the room and some bathrobes would have been nice, but these things won't stop us from coming back.
Overall a nice two night stay. Will come back.
