4th stay :)

This was our 4th visit to the hotel.
We arrived and was located a room, it was 33 degrees and our air con wasn’t working - we reported this, and was told someone was going to fix it.
On returning to our room a few hours later, the air con wasn’t working and was letting out a burning smell. Reported again and was asked to move rooms. we were upgraded to a much larger room with tea and coffee facilities and found this a lot better.
The hotel is 10/10 clean. Every visit has been the same. Everywhere you go, there is a cleaner. The rooms are kept on top of, fresh towels everyday. Hotel toilets cleaned to a high standard.
What i find is the biggest credit to the hotel is the animation team. They work so hard around the clock and you never see them moan. Always happy and smiling and getting the kids involved in everything. I have to shout out to Hugo and Rosie who were absolutely brilliant with my child. They’re a huge credit to the hotel. Kids club is brilliant too.
We managed to get sunbeds every day, and didn’t get up early once to secure them.
The entertainment was ok, we have been 4 times and found we had seen some of the acts already but still didn’t mind it.
The food was good. I had freshly
cooked salmon for two days, it was delicious. You can find it is quite repetitive but there is always something. The snack bar outside is open 10:30-6 which offers burgers, pizza….. that sort of thing.
The drinks let us down a little this year. We like the vodka slushies, but the slush was more like water. We did get a little bored of the drinks but again, we have been a few times so not the hotels fault.
My little girl was unwell towards the end of the holiday, and we needed fresh bedding, which was bought up promptly.
You will see mixed reviews on this hotel, don’t expect a five star.. and if you do expect that then the hotel isn’t for you. If you have children i highly recommend it and the kids club if you want some time for yourself.

Dear Laura,
Thank you for choosing us for your fourth stay and for taking the time to share your detailed feedback.
We are delighted that you consistently appreciate our impeccable cleanliness standards, with our dedicated housekeeping team working tirelessly to maintain pristine conditions throughout the hotel. It's wonderful to hear such warm praise for our animation team, their enthusiasm and dedication to creating memorable experiences truly embody our 'All Tribes Welcome' spirit. We're pleased you enjoyed our gastronomic offerings, particularly the freshly prepared salmon and diverse dining options available throughout the day.
We sincerely apologize for the initial air conditioning issue, though we're glad our team could quickly resolve this by upgrading you to a more comfortable room. Regarding the drinks, we continuously evaluate our beverage quality to ensure we meet our guests' expectations.
Your positive experience with sunbed availability and our entertainment program makes us proud, as we strive to create a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere for all our guests. Our Kids Club, inspired by the legends of Katmandu, continues to be a highlight for families seeking both fun and relaxation.
We look forward to welcoming you back for your fifth visit to our slice of paradise in Mallorca. Best regards.

Perfect Spanish holiday

Please don’t be put off by the bad reviews!!! I was very nervous on the weeks leading up to the stay after reading some worrying reviews. People really want far too much from places!!
We stayed as a couple in our late 20s for 9 nights in sol 1 for reference.
Hotel:
The hotel itself is as always clean and provided everything we needed. The pools were spacious although busy! I woke up around 6:30am for the first couple of days (naturally, not on purpose) and went down to see the sunbed situation. Yes there were people putting towels down in the golden spot but there were no arguments or crazed animals! We woke up later as the week went on and always found a place for a sunbed! I think it may of been harder for groups over 4+ but that’s expected.
We stayed at the end of june and we expected a busy bustling hotel but it honestly never felt rammed! We spent no more than 5 minutes waiting for drinks!
Rooms:
The hotel has been nothing but spotless, rooms were cleaned on the daily and fresh towels and bedding provided every day. We had a double room with two single beds pushed together. Room is big enough with a beautiful content balcony. A fridge and coffee making facilities are provided! As a type 1 diabetic it’s vital that there is a good fridge for me and the temperature was perfect! If anything the air con could have been colder but did the job considering we were in 35 most days. We stayed in room 910 which is the last room of sol 1!
Food:
So this is what worried me the most from the bad reviews! We’ve stayed in various hotels over the years across the world and always used all inclusive more for the drinks if anything! I hand on heart cannot see how people are complaining! Myself and my partner are very different eaters! He always found burgers, chips, pizza and a selection of different meats! I found fresh salads, olives cold meats, various veg! We both said how all the food was always cooked lovely and was always warm! We always had a plentiful on our plates! It is defo one of the nicer all inclusive foods! The drinks were perfect! Strongbow and amstel on Draught and my parter described the amstel as really good! All fanta, sprite and coke were zero! Which is a dream come true! They did have full fat coke as well! But so refreshing to have zero Fanta and sprite!!
Location:
The perfect location for couples who like a walk along the beach, a lil nose in the shops and a drink or two in a bar with beautiful views! The area has plenty to do! It is very clean area! There is a dog park right outside the hotel which I enjoyed seeing all the dogs but this did ensure the streets were clean!
Entertainment:
We aren’t ones for entertainment but there seemed to be a lot to do! The staff were lovely and always had a chat without being too pushy! The pool activities were always full of people and fun to watch!
Thank you for a perfect stay! Would 100% come back and have already recommended to family and friends

Not the best

Just returned from a 10 night trip here as a family of 4. The best bit about the hotel is how central to everything it is, there is so much to explore outside of the hotel and its about 2 minutes walk to the beach. The hotel is clean but there are a few cockroaches around especially lower ground. The room was big (I think it was an accessible room rather than family room) Cleaners weren't great, they never swept the floor (until we spoke to reception staff and they sent someone to do it) or changed the sheets. One day they left a bottle of bleach cleaning spray and loads of wet dirty rags next to our bed in reach of children! We told reception and they said they'd send someone to come and take it away but that never happened! There was a couple of days where they didn't put a bin bag in the bin and the beds were never changed. The sunbed situation is awful, people get up at ridiculous o'clock to put towels down but then are never there, there were extra beds stacked up but they were taped up so you couldn't take them although to be fair there'd be nowhere to put them as the areas around the pool are very small. The kids pool was perfect! Not so shallow that they couldn't swim about but not too deep they couldn't walk and the slides were great. The food was abysmal, I've never stayed at a place where the food was so bad. The donuts, waffles and pancakes were probably the best bit in the restaurant. The snack bar saved the day everyday, the burgers were the best bit. Even the pizza was not good. The ice cream came out of a machine but again it wasn't really nice although the kids liked it, the machine did break a couple of times during the stay. We didn't use the kids club but the night entertainment was good for the kids and the entertainment staff seemed good and like they actually liked their jobs. We never had lunch at the hotel but apparently it was all the same stuff as at dinner so I imagine its just as bad as the evening food. All in all we most likely wouldn't stay here again and if we did it wouldn't be as all inclusive.

My experience at Sol Palmanova

Hello,
I was wondering what to write about this hotel, but after some thinking, I knew I need to be honest with my comments.
I have booked a room at the Sol Palmanova 1( which I've understood it's a big difference between 1 and 2) and I've been staying in room 306.
Hotel is clean and sheets are changed daily, restaurant looks good ( options are few compared with other hotels) swimming pool looks okay and during the day there are some activities for kids and adults as aqua gym, which I really enjoyed immensely helped by the animators, both girls and boys (they may need to use English more due to big amount of English guests).
Location is amazing, very close from the beach and about 15-20 minutes away from Magaluf.
One thing I should point out is one of the waiting staff from the restaurant was absolutely amazing during my stay here and her name is Jesica Martin( I've got her name in my last day) she was always greeting me with a big smile and her attitude and approach was wonderful.
That's an amazing Customer Service attitude and I should know because I work as Receptionist for an very big Financial Services Company in London, United Kingdom.
In my opinion, from all her easy going and friendly attitude she should work as an receptionist at Sol Palmanova Hotel.
Kind regards
Paul
