highly recommended for Alpine romantic lovers!

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was extensive and the products were delicious. The bread was extraordinarily airy and crispy. The place is very "homely" and really recommended. The hammer!

Good professional welcome and very clean and comfortable room

We went to Val for its famous thermal baths and chose to spend the night in this typical Swiss hotel because the price was lower than that of the thermal establishment. The price included entrances to the thermal baths on the day of arrival and the day of departure as well as breakfast. The room was spacious and very clean. Breakfast served at a hearty and local table (in addition to tea or coffee several kinds of bread and pastries, fresh pressed orange juice, an egg, butcher-muesli, excellent jams and local cold meats). We also have dinner at the hotel with typical dishes of the region in a calm and pleasant atmosphere. The hotel has free parking.

Good hotel a bit overpriced

Lovely hotel: a tyoical alpine architecture with modern design pieces.
The entrance to the thermae worked very well.
I can see why others have commented on the lack of friendliness: the waitress in the restaurant seemed always most confused by our requests

cozy place

as we had a reservation for the restaurant silver but could only stay one night (the other hotels had a multiple nights minimum policy) we luckily found this cozy hotel with nicely renovated and furbished rooms. breakfast was nice and familiar, too.

Disappointing

We booked a “Doppelzimmer” room and got a “Grandlit” room, which is totally different and which is a (small) downgrade, if you look at the hotel’s website. When we showed our surprise at checkin, we were told that the photos on the website are not contractual (so, why put them on their website?). We also requested a quiet room, and got one right above the restaurant, which is also on the main street. Luckily, the restaurant was closed on that time, but, if you think this street, in such a town, is quiet, don’t forget there are some deliveries to the grocery store on the other side of the street, and also that Vals is not free of early garbage trucks. Altogether, this hotel is not cheap for what you get (as most in Vals), but you get a free entry to the baths and, at the end, that makes it a good value. The breakfast was good.
