Best part of this hotel is position on the harbour and views of harbour from our room. Room was clean and size was adequate. Staff in the hotel are excellat. Biggest problem with Newcastle is parking. All in a great stay.

They thought it would be a good idea to have an opaque window in between the bathroom and bedroom (note that I didn’t call it an ensuite, because it’s not), so that when you turn on the bathroom light, it fold the bedroom with light.
So dumb.
There are doors that open out onto a nice waterfront common area, that are locked.
Only street parking or valet, that kinda sucks too.
Quite expensive for what you get.

Lovely location. Room was nice. Only issue we had was valet parking forgot to park our car and it remained parked on the street overnight!

It's always nice to have buffet breakfast included but it wasn't as good as Hunter Valley or Jindabyne Rydges. Valet was a bit steep at $35 per night given the lack of self park options nearby. Tinted window between bathroom and bedroom means night visits to the bathroom disturb sleepers in the main bedroom. Our sofabed also wasn't made when we arrived but the kids liked putting it together.
