Cool, but air up

Cool war:
- great rooms and casual amenities
- central location
- nice staff
- cheap breakfast (value for money good)
Air up:
- lack of competence regarding sights etc (employees know the area very badly)
- it was one of our birthdays at check-in and the staff had not reacted as we told her (other hotels congratulate or even give out a drink) to stand out from the competition you have to work on the enthusiasm factors
- no parking space

vielen Dank für euer ehrliches Feedback! Es freut uns, dass euch unsere Zimmer, die Lage und unser Team gefallen haben. Gleichzeitig nehmen wir eure Anmerkungen sehr ernst – besonders beim Gästewissen und kleinen Aufmerksamkeiten wie Geburtstagen können wir sicher noch besser werden.
Da wir erst seit Mai geöffnet haben, arbeiten wir stetig daran, unseren Service weiter zu verbessern und alles perfekt zu machen. Unser Hotel liegt im Herzen von St. Wolfgang, daher sind Parkplätze direkt am Haus leider nicht möglich. Das nächste Parkhaus ist aber nur 3 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt – unser Team gibt gerne Tipps dazu.
Wir würden uns freuen, euch wieder bei uns begrüßen zu dürfen!

A beautiful hotel, modern and cult at the same time

From the reception to the rooms, the house, the breakfast just perfect.
Modern rooms in a historic house .
The rich breakfast left nothing to be desired.
Rooms are clean and tidy (every day).
Very friendly and accommodating staff.
Always in good spirits whether in the morning or evening at the Rössl Bar.
We were there with 4 children and felt a week poodle well.
One thing is for sure, we will come back:-)

Superb Hostel completely renovated in the heart of village

The Hostel du Cheval Noir is a superb 16th century building, in front of the famous Hostel du Cheval Blanc, right in the center, which has just been completely renovated in April 2024 in a colorful and lively 1950s style. We occupied what they call the 'penthouse', a suite of 2 double bedrooms with king size beds on the top floor (elevator), perfect for a family, less for 2 couples as the single shower room is fully glazed on the passage between the two bedrooms. The view from the balcony under the roof was just amazing, between cottages in the heart of village, church and lake in the background. We had all modern comforts and even a brand new fully equipped kitchenette, all for an unbeatable Award Value. Only minor problem, the new key system is particular, better to be accompanied by the staff to open the room and understand the operation. Finally, the buffet breakfast is excellent, varied and regularly stocked. A very good plan in Sankt Wolfgang.

Great hotel with great location!

Super nice hotel, newly renovated and modern rooms. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
We got a family room on the fourth floor, it consisted of two bedrooms and a balcony with stunning views of the village, lake and mountains.
Both we and the kids were super happy!

again any time

Very nice hotel in the middle of town - freshly renovated - nice modern (hip) rooms, some with balcony - super friendly team - great breakfast - hotel bar on the 1st floor - tip/top, would gladly go back..... Good place to retreat from all the hustle and bustle of town....
