Great Hotel, great neighborhood

We just spent 3 weeks here while studying Spanish. The room was very comfortable. The pool is wonderful given how hot it is. The staff are very helpful. Breakfast is included and tasty. The neighborhood is upscale, near the Marina, with lots of good restaurants and convenient services. It is an easy and cheap taxi to the Centro Historico and it is nice to get away from the activity there at times.

DO NOT STAY HERE

Staff is friendly but management is terrible. Emailed the hostel 4 days in advance letting them know we wouldn’t be staying there for one of the three nights we booked. Since they have a 72 hour cancellation policy, we thought we were fine. When we arrived, they insisted we pay for all three nights. The manager, Peter, was rude and wasted 2 hours of precious vacation time. They ended up making us pay for all 3 nights at 1:30 am. We were exhausted and just wanted to shower and sleep. Plus not close to beach or walled city.

Bad and overpriced

At our last night they moved us to a different hotel 40 minutes out of town! Ridiculous. Staff barely existing and doesn't speak English. Only the cleaning lady around during the whole day. No real reception. Room was clean, but had only a wooden window which you need to keep close for privacy, bathroom didn't have window at all which caused mold on the ceiling. Pool is nice but could be cleaner. Breakfast not good. Location is bad, nothing around, taxi needed.

Very good stay!

Rooms: all is new and very clean, the bathroom is big and clean
Pool and kitchen: nice area for relaxing and you can use the good equiped kitchen
Location: just 5 minutes taxidrive from the oldtown for 7000 pesos. There are is a big supermarket just around the corner and a few restaurants.
Stuff: really nice and helpful!
All in all a really good hotel where the rooms costs nearly the same like in a 12 bed dorm in the oldtown. A good place to relax after sightseeing in the city.

Perfect time at Puerto de Manga

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It's a cheap and quiet alternative to the really expensive hotels/hostels in old town and it takes only 5 minutes and about 7.000 pesus/2-3 euro to get to old town by taxi.
The staff was extremely friendly, it was super clean and the port is just 1 minute away walking distance. There's a supermarket just around the corner and your allowed to use the kitchen
