Located downtown; clean and spacious room

Great location in the city center, 5 minutes from the cathedral

Great location.

A good hotel, especially for the location being located in the center: leaving, left, in a few minutes you reach the Cathedral (and just behind the river); on the right rue de Change, under its arches offers seamless clubs always crowded with young people, which leads to Saint Louis square. The room was spacious while really small the two bathrooms (sink and shower in one and toilet in the other); there is a safe, fridge, kettle and a bottle of water... empty, no, they did not forget to fill it, you can do it at the distributor in the hallway (smooth or sparkling). Entering you have to take one of the two small elevators that lead to the reception floor. Very good breakfast.

Not 4 stars!

If your 4 stars deserve it is for your location in the center of the city, for the rest it is more 3 or even 2!
The condition of our room deserves a thorough renovation if only in view of the knocks on the wall and doors. The service is also mixed...no hygienic pay in the toilet, and when we report it, not even the slightest excuse..." ah yes, we will drop you some"...well would miss more than not!
The friendly reception doesn't talk about it, (especially the one of the day), but let's highlight the pleasure of being served at the bar by real nice people. In short, we will not return to the Novotel Metz anyway!

Hotel is great, area around it is very run down. The location being in the centre of the city is amazing but the shopping centre it is within is very bad.

One night in Metz

Fantastic location close to the Cathedral and lots of restaurants.
Parking is easy and located below the hotel but access is not clear (we drive around the block before finding it).
The bed was strange because its height could change but really excellent mattress and a great nights sleep.
The entrance is below reception And not welcoming but once you get to reception it’s fine.
Two coach tours used the hotel while we were there but this was not a problem, the Novotel handled it well and even breaky was tasty.
Room was huge, facilities basic but everything you would from a Novotel and ideal for a night in Metz.
