Nice place with nice operator

We stood over Pentecost with our campervan on the large camping meadow and was greeted and instructed very nicely by the owner right at the beginning there. This included the reference that he lends cars to motorhome owners (free, only petrol has to be paid!). The offer is of course already a distinguishing feature. But also the place has everything you need. I can't judge the plumbing because we didn't use it. A small shop, and super nice staff in the registration round off the positive picture. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed, and we were glad to have secured one of the cars for a day, as the weather was not so sparkling and the bikes were not needed. The only small shortcoming (but not enough to subtract a star): at the WoMo disposal station you could not fill up fresh water.
Oh yes: our dog was also comfortable, and there are plenty of bag dispensers spread all over the place, which were always filled.

finished off our German tour here

We stayed here for three nights late june on our way home.
Caravan with electric.
Like many camp sites majority of it is permanent german caravan tourers on pitches. The camping field is actually at the top of the hill.
This is great in one respect as, there is a fantastic view, it is a long walk to the shop however and office though and heavy going up the hill in warm weather.
There are two new portacabin type shower blocks for the camping field although you can use the building which is halfway down the hill. This building is quite grand and has a bit of a communist feel to it, large entrance etc, however very well laid out spacious and clean.
You get a chip when you arrive, this allows you in and out the gate and also switches on devices such as washers and showers. The panel can be a little complex to use, you have to select a shower to switch on, but it only switches on after you shut the door on your cubicle... good luck
If you stay with camping cheques the showers are free but you still need to use the chip and still see money racking up, dont worry, your shower is not charged. There are hotplates and washers and baths in the building.
This place is used as a stop over so lots of people arriving and going regularly.
The site is generally quiet, well kept and clean.
The camping field is ok, there are not many electric posts although there are about 4 boxes with multi sockets in, both 3 pin 16 A and euro 2 pin.
Some people needed two leads other wise you are too crowded.
The camp site is in a great area for exploring, the lake is close by and is great for cycling or walking. There is a beach shown on the map but it is private and we think belongs to another camp site.
Its not far from attendorn, the nearest town, which has an aldi and a Rewe plus a nice town centre.
About half and hour or so from the main arterial motoway.
Well recommend visiting this area, it has a lot to offer. We used the restaurant hotel up the road, the Biggen Haus hotel which has a great restaurant, we did not use the site restaurant which has good reviews.
The site has a well stocked shop and has camping supplies including chairs and BBQ's etc. You can order bread for collection the next morning.
When you check out you must do by 12 but you can stay until 11pm that day which is great if you need to.
Overall a great camping place great for camping cheque.

Hier zijn o.a.

Vakantie

Goede, gezellige gezins camping.
