Pure relaxation at the Scharl's family pension in Eitting
The welcome / service, was very good and you can recover accordingly from everyday life. Room very clean and impeccable. Parking AT NO COST ... it couldn't be more perfect.
Room
Room 9 - Ground floor >> Double room / Double bed Due to repeat offenders :-) we have been allocated this room before and were very satisfied again this time, in all matters, from size, to cleanliness etc.
Restaurant & Bars
The owner family offers a varied breakfast buffet and this costs only 8,- € per person per day, which in our view, is almost too cheap for today. The products at the buffet, come from the direct regional environment and it tastes just wonderful.
Service
After arrival, we were greeted and received directly personally with a handshake, by the owner - there was a short small talk and it's just a very nice feeling when you are simply accepted ... not always common in Bavaria - but with the Scharl family we are very welcome, without any prejudices, that I had to get rid of. Very happy again:-)
Sustainability
It is purchased from local farmers directly in the immediate neighborhood.
Extra costs
There is a fridge in the house, in the breakfast room there, in the kitchen and guests have the possibility to take drinks in their room - comparatively instead of a minibar in the room. These drinks, of course, are then written down on a piece of paper there, which must be paid for against corresponding real costs, at check-out, as these are basically not integrated in the stay, but which is also absolutely legitimate from our point of view.

Easter 2024 in Eitting with a visit to the thermal baths
Eitting is a municipality in the Erding district of Upper Bavaria and a member of the Oberding administrative community.
The guesthouse is family-run and everyone is open to strangers and there are no points of contact.
Eitting is extremely difficult to reach by public transport and a car is therefore urgently required - but if you have a car, all directions are open to you.
Room 9 (ground floor)
Rooms are spotlessly clean and a very pleasant scent welcomes the guest into the room.
Great service if you have any questions or problems - you can talk about anything.
Breakfast 1AA
At Easter there was salmon - homemade cake from the mother of the house and chocolate Easter eggs at every table.
Breakfast was very tasty, rolls from the baker and sausage from the butcher.

Pleasant stay at Scharl am Maibaum
The Room: Good-sized King-bed suite. Enough space for international travelers to unpack comfortably. Usual amenities were in the room.
Minimalist, modern style. Furnishings were in reasonable repair. Views over the carpark/street. Air-con/heating worked well.
The Staff: All staff we encountered were pleasant and courteous.
Food: Onsite restaurant is located on the ground floor, pleasant views to the garden. Breakfast buffet included a modest variety of: cereals, yogurt, cheeses, meats (unfortunately only pork products), breads/pastries, hard-boiled eggs.
We had takeaway dinner from the Italian restaurant which is literally across the road from the hotel.
Overall Impression: A pleasant, modern, quiet hotel for an overnight stay. Be advised that there is no lift, may be an issue for those who cannot carry their luggage up-/down-stairs.
