Family Friendly, yet minded the adults too... Perfect.

We stayed in the Bauer hotel a few weeks ago, we are a family of 5, three children. Firstly we received a lovely warm welcome after a long days travel. Our room was a family room which had three rooms, very spacious for our party. Twin beds in the main living area a room with a double and another room with a single. On check in the lady reserved a table for us in the restaurant. We went straight down and we're warmly looked after by all the staff, especially Corina who minded us. The food was perfect and really tasty and the service excellent. The next morning we had breakfast, which while basic was perfect along with delicious scrambled eggs and freshly baked bread. The hotel is just about 10/15 mins from the center of Heidelberg and we would highly recommend, for us it was perfect.

Very unfriendly staff

The above hotel because my family arrived after 10.00 because they broke down on the autobahn and had to wait 6hrs for a pick up truck so we booked the hotel on hotels.com when they arrived the staff would not let them in saying it was closed even though they had a booking, they left my granddaughter and her mother crying on the doorstep. Just wanted to say I hope this never happens to you having the door shut in your face at 11.00 at night lucky they went down the road and found a more sympathetic hotel.

Simple hotel

At the beginning of july, it was way too hot at the top floor and sleeping was not easy...
No air conditioning
window difficult to operate
nice and good restaurant ! Particularly when it's hot and you can eat outside...
Simple hotel but ok for one night...

Sehr gute Radler-Unterkunft

Sehr gute Unterkunft für eine Nacht, auch für Radler. Fahrrad kann in der Garage untergestellt werden. Sehr freundliche Wirtsleute. Sehr gute Küche: das Rumpsteak ist zu empfehlen. Gute Alternative für teure Unterkünfte in HD.

Eenvoudig maar schoon

Zeer grote kamer. (5x5) en schoon. Dat geldt ook voor de (gedeelde) toiletten en de badkamer. Op de kamer een nette wasbak en een derde bed.
Alles simpel en eenvoudig maar goed, zeker voor die prijs.
Enkele minpuntjes; De bevestiging schroef van de douchekop was lam waardoor hij alleen bruikbaar was als handdouche. De badkuip kon ook niet gebruikt worden vanwege een grote mand was die daarin stond en het heren toilet was niet afsluitbaar.
De eigenaar is vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Parkeergelegenheid direct naast het hotel.
