Quite a novel experience staying in a capsule and loved the privacy and USB ports and universal socket. No snoring noises though the plastic doors create a din whenever someone slides it open and close. Not sure if the bathrooms were in use or barred from use but a few seem to be perpetually locked. Shower stall may be a little tight and no rack such that toiletries can only be placed outside the shower stall. Nice kitchen. All dishes to be washed and placed in dish washer for disinfection. Only grief was no hair dryer. ISK 1000 to rent a towel seemed exorbitant but not uncommon in Iceland.

DISGUSTING, UNHYGIENIC, GASLIGHTING STAFF, STAY AWAY!!!

1star is too much!!!! I am absolutely appalled by the way I was treated by thi Hostel. My stay was disgusting, and their response to my legitimate complaint was nothing short of gaslighting.
Upon checking into my room, I found dark hairs in my bed – an obvious sign of poor hygiene. I have bleach blonde hair, so it was impossible that the hair was mine. I took photos of this disgusting scene and immediately contacted the hostel, expecting them to resolve the situation and issue a refund.
Instead, they have refused to acknowledge their fault, claiming there was no hair, despite the photographic proof I provided. Their blatant disregard for cleanliness and complete failure to take responsibility is shocking and unprofessional.
What’s even worse is that a staff member opened by pod without knocking, using a key card, completely violating my privacy. This is not just unprofessional but unacceptable behavior for any accommodation.
Rather than handling my complaint properly, they have chosen to gaslight me, refuse my refund, and ignore the very clear evidence. As someone who works in tourism, I know how guests should be treated, and this hostel fails in every possible way.
I will be attaching the photos I took to this review so everyone can see the evidence of the disgusting conditions I experienced. Stay far away from this hostel if you value cleanliness, professionalism, and your personal privacy. There are far better options than wasting your money here.

Stay was okay, but you have to keep your luggage in luggage/storage room provided inside the hostel.Limited parking in front of the Hostel and you have to pay for parking if its parked outside the free parking hours.

This was a great property in the downtown of Akureyri. The location couldn't have been better. Though it was a hostel, it was very clean. The property also provided many amenities.

The pods were amazing. Having your own little quiet space was just the best. They are spacious and so comfortable- I had a single and had space to store some clothing items.
There are coat racks and a good storage space.
It is kept clean and is lovely and welcoming. The bathroom Facilities are very modern and it’s about 12 toilet/ shower rooms.
There are 2 lounge areas - kitchen and at the back of the hostel and the outdoor area is also lovely. The kitchen facilities are great too and everyone did their bit to keep it tidy.
Would recommend and would stay there again
