Top notch spa hotel puts champneys to shame

There was a time when Poland had no hotels up to UK standards. How times have changed. Splendor is in a beautiful spot but only 20 minutes from the thriving city of Rzeszow. Magnificently furnished in Indian style with specially imported antiques, the facilities are first rate. We went for a 3 day spa and chill session post exams and it was perfect. The treatments were excellent and the staff can't do enough to help - all English speaking as well.
And of course it is far cheaper than any UK spa.
If you're near Rzeszow this is well worth a visit. If not, you should go to this part of Poland anyway.

This hotel has very high ratings on booking.com. Is it worth it? I do not think so. Let's start with the positives. Service, friendly, nice, helpful. Nice view from my windows. Clean.
And now the negatives.
Last Saturday of the carnival and nothing happens. No party. Spa - closed on Monday. Only pool works. Swimming pool - only 3 deckchairs. No space for rest (e.g. table, chairs, drinks or even water). The bed in the room - you can not lean on the headboard because a strip protrudes in the middle. A small pillow (I did not mind, but my wife - yes). Dinner rich and nicely served, but not well-prepared.
All in all, a lot of potential but still a lot of work.

Restaurant experience was extremely bad

Cannot comment a hotel itself as we used SPA and restaurant and have to say that it was one of the worst restaurant experiences in my life. We were only guys and had to wait for ages, salad had worms that were moving around plate. Pasta was really bad, only Polish food was well cooked. Prosecco that was served was obviously opened a week ago and was served in a wrong glass which was not cleaned properly. They tried to make it up for worms in our food and provided free desert which was quite bad as well. Hope they will change their cook asap. But SPA services were nice and relaxing.

Perfect price/quality ratio

This is perfect place to overnight near E371 (19) road (or even stay longer, if you have a time).
Everything was perfect – location on the hill with beautiful view; clean, spacious and well equipped room; kind, helpful and good English-speaking staff, good restaurant and of course – spa area with different saunas and big swimming pool. And this all: for a very good price.

Spa hotel Splendor is a very well set up spa hotel which offers the full range of spa-type treatments. When I stayed it seemed to be nearly empty so it was quite lonely. With no other buildings for a couple of miles in all directions it is pretty cut off from any kind of local community so don't stay here if you like to stroll down the high street after dinner.
