Lovely hotel for a "base"

Arrived at the Casa Blanca for a 5 night stay, check-in was easy and the staff were pleasant.
Room: We booked a standard room, which was exactly that, absolutely fine for what we needed but could be a bit small for a longer stay. Room was clean with a traditional style decor and a/c. It had a wardrobe, dressing table, small TV and small fridge, the beds were comfy with spare pillows in the cupboard. The bathroom was very small, with a shower over bath which was very tight to get into, especially if you are on the larger side. The water flooded the floor every time you showered, which is quite dangerous and very slippy! There was complimentary shower gel on the wall and a hairdryer.
Restaurant: Fantastic outdoor dining on the terrace with lovely views. Basic selection of food, but something for everyone, however kids could struggle to find a filling meal or if you're a fussy eater. Drinks were pricey compared to the local bars, which indirectly forced people to spend elsewhere.
Pool & Pool Bar: Steep steps to the pool however there were plenty of sunbeds, no need to save a bed or do the mad AM rush! Pool and pool bar were very clean with a ping pong table in the shade and light music during the day.
Entertainment: Jet 2 advertised occasional evening entertainment but we didn't see any entertainment for the duration of our stay. If drinks were cheaper and they had entertainment guests would spend more time at the hotel and spend more money.
Location: Great location as a base, only 30 mins transfer from the airport, so even better for a long weekend stay. Restaurant and shop opposite the hotel or a short 10 minute walk down hill to the beach, bars and restaurants. Note, guests with mobility issues could struggle with this hotel.
Complimentary Shower Room: The hotel offers 2x complimentary shower rooms to use for 30 mins on the day of your departure, as checkout is at 11am - Bookable on checkout. It's a great addition to have and it was even better then the bathroom in our room! Secure luggage room available to use if you have a late departure.
Conclusion: Lovely traditional hotel, in a good location, ideal for short breaks or a base if you just need somewhere to stay. Not suitable for those with mobility issues due to steep steps to the pool and hills both ends of the road to access the main resort. Food is as expected for a 3* but could find it hard to find something for fussy eaters or children. Drinks could be cheaper to retain guests to spend more on site.

A Lovely Hotel

I am currently staying in Hotel Casa Blanca with my husband and teenage children for my 50th birthday.
We have really enjoyed our stay and will be sorry to leave tomorrow.
We received a very pleasant and professional welcome from the owner of the hotel, who took us to our rooms himself.
The staff are excellent across all departments. The hotel is very clean and the housekeeping staff are excellent.
Our bedrooms are spacious, with adequate facilities and excellent showers. The housekeeping staff clean, replace towels daily and mop the floors. It is great to have a fridge in the room.
The hotel is very traditional and it's lovely to see such typically Spanish features.
The stand out feature is the pool area. The plants, shrubs and trees are beautiful and must take a considerable amount of effort to maintain. There are lots of sun beds and the pool is lovely, with an area especially for young children.
We found the breakfast options to be plentiful and used the cafe bar a couple of times for snacks.
Having stayed in many hotels and apartments in Santa Ponsa over the past 30 years, this is definitely one of the best. Many thanks to the managers and staff of Hotel Casa Blanca for helping us have a lovely holiday.

A lovely hotel with excellent staff

We were a bit worried when we saw the previous review but we need not have worried. Our room is nice and clean and the beds are some of the most comfortable hotel beds we have slept in. The food is very nice always piping hot with a reasonable choice. One quirky thing is a few times we have been visited by several ducks who decided they were going to have a quick dip in the pool. The price of drinks in the hotel are similar to surrounding bars. My one gripe about the hotel is the walls are quite thin so can hear your neighbours sometimes.
You are only a couple of minutes away from the nearest beach which is surrounded by shops and bars. For a no nonsense breakfast or lunch I can highly recommend Churchill’s bar, which is about 3 mins away.

NOT PLEASANT STAY

Dear hotel manegmet ,
I’m writing to share my experience in your hotel CASABLANCA at Santa Ponse/ Palma de Majorca.
During the period of 11-05-2025 until 15-05-2025 , I was with my two daughters of age 15 and 1 years old plus my wife in room 103.
Unfortunately we had unpleasant stay with some weird situations mainly with the staff of the hotel and some ants in our room .Hotel environment was OK, obviously old building with good maintenance, but fair enough for the price.
The main problem is the unfriendly staff which cannot wait to finish your breakfast or dinner to take your plate. The food was the same every day, not many options. Also the hotel was advertised as a family hotel with zero options for baby food and if you are with baby buggy there is no elevator. We needed to go to next door hotel to use elevator to get to our room or we’d have to pick it up to go down the stairs(which is about three floors). One of the nights some guy came to us without badge or uniform and presented himself as the owner of the hotel, doesn’t even mention his name came to ask us to not drink our beverages in the lobby of the hotel and go to our room ,even though that nowhere was clarified that it is prohibited. There was football tournament with teams all over Europe , noisy people was drinking beverages from outside the hotel and everywhere in the hotel playing loud music. Most of the staff was with really poor English and communication skills.
As a family hotel there was constantly people playing loud music and shouting on the swimming pool which makes difficult for my one year old daughter to sleep in afternoon or night , we also found ants in our toilet which I will attach photos from.
In general I would NOT recommend this hotel to be attend with children and management needs to think about training for their staff how to behave with the guest .
My suggestion is better pay 100€ extra and receive proper service .
