Cozy hotel with amazing breakfast
Wonderful, priceworthy hotel with lots of green lush! Very nice rooms, accommodating staff. Pleasant little garden with rabbits running free and a friendly little “hotel dog”.
The most amazing thing was the breakfast! You order from a menu and a sazzy lady with the cleanest kitchen makes your breakfast on the spot. Try the pancakes with syrup and fruit! After we (3 adults) moves out we came back just for the breakfast.
The only minus were the steep stairs (no elevator) and that they kept a snake and a hedgehog in small cages near the reception - those animals didn’t look too happy.

I Stay here every time i come to Hua Hin. I love it. Great rooms. Hot shower. Super staff. Competetive pricing. Convenient to everything. Easy walk to bintabaht and night market and minibus stop. Cheap motorbike taxi from the rail station. You wont be disappointed. Book now

Not bad, cash only
Yeah I enjoyed my 2 night stay at Sofia's although I did not like the cash only payment as I prefer paying credit card for hotels. Staff were friendly enough and room was cleaned daily. Difficult tight stairs to get up and no smoke alarm my 2 issues. Not sure why it says fitness centre on Agoda too I don't see one? Location is great but. Nice view from belcony.

Quiet Street
Features of the Sofia Hotel Hua Hin Thailand:
• Clean rooms.
• Quiet street.
• Easy walking distance to beach, night markets and nightlife area.
• Free Wifi on each floor.
• Upon check-in the hotel offered me a discount due to low season, lucky for me.
Yes I would stay at the Sofia hotel again, but in a different room.
I am a 50 year old Australian male solo traveller who stayed at the Sofia Hotel during August 2018. I enjoy getting out amongst the local culture, sightseeing, looking through markets, being in walking distance to nightlife and therefore seek accommodation that is clean and comfortable for the night. Not one to stay in Resorts or 5 Star hotels, I look for hotels in the lower end of a medium budget range of $18 to $45 Australian dollars per night and select a hotel based on the following criteria:
My criteria for selecting a hotel:
• Medium budget, No 5 star or resorts.
• Room above the ground floor.
• Clean bright room with natural light.
• In room safety deposit box.
• Air conditioning and fan.
• Walking distance to night life.
My Review of the Sofia Hotel Hua Hin Thailand:
1. Booked direct with the hotel for 4 nights, total cost 3000THB.
2. Hotel responded timely to emails.
3. Payment is cash only, no eftpos facilities.
4. Stayed in room P1. 3rd floor.
5. Room size was spacious with an opening window for natural light looking to the sea. But not a sea view as such.
6. Room and bathroom were clean.
7. Bar sized fridge with 2 free bottles of water each day.
8. Small safety deposit box in room, too small for an ipad and the box was not attached or bolted to anything, so it was free to be taken away.
9. Air-conditioning and fan.
10. Flat-screen TV.
11. Bathroom was clean and although of a large size the bench space for toiletries was very small.
12. Room was clean and tidy each day, No feeling of a dirty room.
13. Close to restaurants, laundry services and bars.
14. Hotel has in room WiFi, which worked well.
15. No lift access to each room floor and steps up to reception from street.
16. Hotel is guest friendly should you bring a friend back to your room for the night.
What didn’t I like:
1. In room Safety deposit box not fixed to anything.
2. No chairs in the room.
3. In my opinion my room was not as good as a friend staying in room F, which included a small table, 2 chairs and had a better feel to it, although he didn’t like how small the bathroom was because the toilet would get wet when showering.
I give the Sofia hotel an above average review rating because it met most of my hotel selection criteria in the medium hotel budget range and I was given a discount upon arrival. Overall it is a quiet comfortable clean hotel to stay at.
In addition for those wanting to save on transport costs, it was an easy enough walk from the minivan bus station to the hotel.

First let me say I made the mistake of booking a room with shared bathrooms. My room was on the third floor and I had to walk 2 flights down each time I had to pee. At night too...goodness! The room itself was pretty decent and average (nothing too good or bad). The lady who checked me in must learn to smile.
