Great stay

I stayed here for four nights for a conference at the convention center. Perfect location for walking to convention, food options and Disney. Had a double queen room on 18th floor where lounge is located. Room was comfortable, nice balcony view over looking towards Disney. Lounge had nice breakfast, evening snacks and dessert. It had been over 10 years since I last stayed here and would stay here again.

Dear Wmacetheace, It’s wonderful to hear you enjoyed your time with us and found the location ideal for both the convention and nearby attractions! We’re thrilled you loved the balcony views and the offerings in the lounge. Thank you for choosing Anaheim Marriott again, and we’re delighted you’ll return in the future. We look forward to welcoming you back soon for another memorable experience!

Other than parking fees, just an excellent hotel overall

I came with my parents from July 3 to July 7th and stayed 4 nights. A return to Southern California after 10+ years. The lobby is very large with plenty of seating, like some 5 star hotels I've stayed at in India and UAE. We got here at 9:45PM, check in was very quick and prompt. Our room was on the 9th floor. What I liked about this place that you don't see anywhere else (BUT IT SHOULD BE AT EVERY HOTEL IN THE FUTURE) are custom elevators to take you to your floor. That is very efficient, even in crowded times. Same from your floor to the Lobby.
We got room 9046 which was a 2-queen bed. I was actually expecting a walk-in shower, but instead got a tub. The tub was very large, but the reason I opt for walk in showers is because it saves time and water and my parents are elderly. I knew at that point I should have asked. Still, shower was very good, though it takes a little fiddling with the faucet adjustments.
The room is very reasonable size-wise. Large TV, a desk to sit and a view of the Convention Center. We also had a very comfortable, and very soft bed. Pillows were the softest I've ever had and we got a very good sleep all the nights.
Out of all the days, the only day we availed breakfast at the hotel was on the 4th of July. We had breakfast past 10:30AM before going to Disney California Adventure. The options at N-Fuse restaurant were ala-carte and buffet ($33 per person). We chose the buffet due to it having a waffle maker, toast, yogurt, fruits, etc. Staff were very friendly welcoming us, asking us if we enjoyed our food, and more. Exceptional customer service. The quality of the food was not short of superb and certainly worth the price.
My dad also had the pizza at Slice, which seems to be interesting, but when I noticed, none of the toppings applied to my taste (i.e. eggplant, onion, roasted tomatoes). He truly enjoyed it as well as the place.
There isn't an actual Starbucks (I think they had it, but removed it), this is a Marriott, and they should have one and this is a convention center. However, we did have coffee at the Market which is very large. Quality was never short of excellent even on crowded days where there was a National Dance off.
For the rest of the stay, it was very uneventful. Besides the parking costs (expected, because none of the hotels in Anaheim, or at least the type of hotels we stay at now have free parking).
If I return to Southern California and choose to stay at Anaheim next year, I'll definitely pick this place again, so long as the price is reasonable and ensure to be more proactive on needing a walk-in shower.

Noisy, drunk guests, disinterested staff, ineffectual management & bonus bed bugs!

Apologies for the length of this review, but its been an exhausting saga since I stayed at this property, but if I can stop another person wasting their $$$ then it is worth it.
If you don’t want to read it all, let me sum it up by saying, if you are looking for a noisy & rather odd property, with disinterested staff, drunken guests, ineffectual management and bed bugs then look no further!
I was visiting Disneyland as part of my delayed birthday celebration and chose the Marriott as I thought it would provide a more grown-up and restful retreat, after all day in the parks - boy I was wrong!
Having enjoyed 12 hours of Upper Class hospitality, and then a nightmare journey by public transport as my car didn’t show up at LAX I just wanted to get into my room, shower and sleep!
I will say the property looks very impressive, from the outside. Once inside I was greeted by a wall of noise. Obviously Anaheim is a conference destination but everywhere there were drunken and loud delegates and all that entails.
Approaching the check-in it was immediately clear that I was more an inconvenience than a welcomed guest as the gentleman barely halted his conversation with his colleagues. He couldn’t find my Marriott membership details so said I wouldn’t be able to access email… OK!
I had status at the time with Marriott and through my profile had politely requested (if possible) a higher floor, quiet room, away from the elevator.
What greeted me was a very oddly designed room on the ground floor, but having been travelling for a day I just wanted to get into bed.
I was awoken by loud voices, both in person and on their phones, as my room was directly above the service entrance, overlooking the parking lot. So not only did I have staff congregating for cigarettes and loud conversations but also deliveries, coming & going, at all hours. The corridor was also the main way to the pool so as noisy as you can imagine.
After 2 sleepless nights and for the first time ever, I requested to be moved rooms. Another unhelpful & surly female member of staff hummed & hawed, telling me there were no rooms available. Then she recognised my status and another room magically opened up. She told me it didn’t have a view to which I replied “I don’t care as long as it’s quiet”. At the end of the corridor, it overlooked the conference facilities and was blissfully noise free.
I had a wonderful time at Disneyland and spent the minimum time at the hotel. I moved on to Citizen M in downtown LA where the whole stay was wonderful and in complete contrast to my Marriott stay.
There I discovered my legs were breaking out in red wells and rashes. My parting “gift” from The Marriott was being bitten by bed bugs. I think is the prefect analogy for my stay. I spend 120+ nights in hotels across the globe and have never had the joy of bed bugs before - or since!
At The Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse in SFO I received a follow-up survey, regarding my stay and having time to kill I decided to fill it in. And so the disappointment continued…
I have had no less than 3 managers, from the hotel apologising profusely and promising to deal accordingly with the issues, but one after another they simply cease communication. That is a polite way of saying simply ignore! I have never deal with such unprofessional and frankly inept individuals.
To add insult to injury the individual, Cory Ryan, who responds to the feedback on here was the first manager to supposedly take ownership of my concerns.
Marriott customer service is every bit as unhelpful. No wonder I rarely stay with Marriott these days.
If you have made it this far I appreciate it. I urge you to please stay elsewhere!

Great hotel for a Disneyland visit.

We stopped at the Marriott Anaheim from 24th May to 28th May 2025. On arrival, it was very busy with a competition at the adjacent convention Centre. This made marking challenging but, wasn’t an issue.
We got checked in really quickly at reception and the staff were helpful.
The lifts require a floor no. And then you’re told which lift to enter. It takes you direct to your floor. This is the first time I’ve experienced this type of lift and found it really quick and easy.
Entering the room, it was clean and fresh. Very modern with two large beds, a desk and large wall mounted TV. There are storage under the desk.
There are wardrobes with ample cupboards. There was a safe in our room but, didn’t work.
Sliding door leading to a balcony. We had a view over to the adjacent hotel and even had a partial view of the Disneyland fireworks.
The bathroom is very modern with a walk in shower. The bathroom is quite small compared to other hotels I’ve stopped in. But, didn’t take away from the overall stay.
The pool area was clean and tidy. It is very modern with access to complementary towels and comfortable sun loungers. You can get waiter service to the pool side.
There are a few food options available in the hotel. There is a restaurant, pizza takeout and a cafe selling Starbucks coffee, soft drinks and cold food options.

Stayed in: May 2025

Gave this some time to pass and a couple emails before I left my review. This isn’t my first time staying here. It is my first time staying in the oasis tower. After having to force my door open because of it feeling jammed, I walk in and immediately get dizzy. I assumed that was just from being tired. My wife also felt dizzy. My child was having issues walking straight. Dropped a water bottle and noticed it just roll while gaining momentum. I then notice the crown molding having a slant. The entire room was tilted. This explains the dizziness (vertigo) and my child having issues walking. Highly advise having this building checked structurally. I was compensated points but not enough for another stay.
