I stayed here during a conference. It's close by the Hyatt and walkable to there. I wasn't familiar with the area so I didn't go out at night. I know there some restaurants nearby but area walking there at night is really dark. The hotel room was nice and comfortable. My only issue is with the doors and those people. I be hearing doors slammed closed all night and each night. No courtesy. Maybe the hotel can fix the way the doors closed. Breakfast was good. I ate breakfast there each morning. The late night snack store has limited options.

Not Quite the Pool You Would Think
I was excited about staying at a Holiday Inn. As a member, I have enjoy previous Holiday Inn stays. This time, I was attracted to the photo of the lovely long pool. Swimming laps is my exercise routine so i was pleased to see this pool where I was traveling to.
HOWEVER, after a few questions, I learned that this hotel runs half the size of a normal lap pool and it is not heated. Since the hotel is in a briskier northern Bay Area climate, I doubt the pool gets warmer than 65-70 degrees. This is not an easy temperature to swim in, even for lap swimmers. And, it is not safe for older people to be swimming in. I commend them for being energy efficient, but then don't advertise you have a swimming pool. Sadly, I am cancelling my reservation and saving for a better swim experience somewhere else.

Average SFO Hotel
This is one of many options to stay near SFO. The positives are - good location, on the water so you get a view, a decent (though small) gym and it is reasonably priced. Downside - the rooms are pretty tired, the walls thin/hallways noisy and the breakfast was not great. Nothing horrible and a good value, but there may be other nearby options that are a bit nicer.

Great service during an unexpected overnight stay
My red-eye flight out of SFO was canceled, and the airline provided a hotel voucher for an overnight stay here. If you ever find yourself in the same situation, I highly recommend this location.
I could not find the airport shuttle, so I ended up taking a taxi. (Note that there are two locations near the airport, so make sure you say specifically which one you're going to.) I'm not sure if I missed the signs because I was tired or if they were just difficult to follow.
The bed was comfortable, and while the room was a bit dated, it was clean and had all the standard Holiday Inn toiletries. That was a big help since I did not have my suitcase.
Once I arrived, check-in was smooth. A special shout-out to the manager on duty and her coworker, who were kind and calm as a crowd of tired travelers showed up around 11:30 PM. They knew exactly how to handle my voucher and made the whole process easy.
I was especially grateful when I had a small issue with the deadbolt in my first room. The front desk worker immediately apologized and moved me to a new room without hesitation. I also overheard them call maintenance to check the original door, which made it clear that they take problems seriously and act quickly. I appreciated that they did not make me wait around while they tried to fix it.
If I had to stay near the airport again, I would consider this site for sure.

It's fine.
One night stay at the end of a trip for convenience to airport. Immediately upon entering hotel lobby I noticed an overpowering "clean" smell. It was also in the hallways and rooms. Some kind of heavily scented cleaner so if you're sensitive to that stay away. The lobby areas were nice and the room was fine. Seemed old and in need of renovation but not dirty. Bathroom very tight and small. The biggest plus is that of the last 6 hotels I have stayed in this one had the most and most convenient outlets of all. Important in this day and age when every person has 3 things to charge every night. Morning shuttle to airport was prompt and on time. One person at front desk offered us snack bags with fruit, yogurt and muffins since she saw we were leaving before breakfast. That was very kind, especially considering the man at the desk didn't acknowledge us or say anything when we approached him to check out and ask for a receipt. He seemed annoyed with that request. Ate dinner at Max's in the parking lot which was convenient and ok food.
