Our stay at the hotel was fabulous! The hotel was a lovely place to stay in a quiet area! The staff were very friendly and kind!
HOWEVER, HOTELS.COM MISREPRESENTED OUR ROOM!!!!! THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS TRIP!!! In Albuquerque we were supposed to have a Mountain View, we had an interstate wall view and it was noisy!! For this stay, we were supposed to have a beachfront room. We had a view of the building!!!!
The hotel manager inform this happens quite often with HOTELS. COM. THEY SHOW PICTURES OF “UPGRADED” ROOMS TO SELL THE ROOM!!!! THEY TELL YOU IT’S A FREE UPGRADE AMD WHEN YOU GET TO THE HOTEL IT’S NOT THE ROOM YOU BOOKED!!!
Unfortunately a beachfront room wasn’t even available for our first night. Luckily the manager was kind and gave us a beachfront room the second night.
I WILL NOT USE HOTELS.COM AGAIN!!!!

Would not recommend

I’m giving 2 stars simply because the location is good and the staff is friendly.
We paid extra for an ocean view and we got put in room 112 which is ground level and right near the ramp entrance to the hotel which blocks part of the view as well as has people walking up and down it.
WiFi is not great
Had no remote to the television upon check in
Hot water wasn’t working on our last day
Toilet was very slow to flush with normal usage and got clogged often with light use requiring us to use a plunger
There is a bestwestern colored light on the balcony that shines directly in the room at night.
Overall I would not recommend

Great remodeled room near the beach!

Great spacious king room that looks newly remodeled. Comfy bed and tv with many channels. Less than 10 minute walk to the beach with decent views from some rooms. Napoleon did a great job with check in. Breakfast was decent with egg and sausage patties, baked goods, potatoes, juices, and coffees. Free parking too underground.

Wonderful full breakfast was provided. Quaint building with multiple sitting areas to enjoy the view of the beach and waves. The train went by a few times, but it didn’t disturb us. The king size bed room was very spacious. Great location near the bridge to cross the street to get to the beach. Free parking was an extra bonus.

Great hotel across from the beach. Hot breakfast, clean rooms that seem a bit larger than most. Parking can be a challenge as the underground lot is a bit small. We would definitely stay here again!
