Visit the villas!

We got a big room a one bedroom villa with a full kitchen beautiful pool easy access to the beach. The furnishings in the room are lovely. It’s a very spacious huge bathroom comes with nice shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Parking is tight, but what do you expect? It’s away rent a small car. The staff is super friendly and super helpful.

The place did not live up to expectations

Did not live up to expectations
Our sliding glass door did not slide. The view was obstructed anyway by a brick wall. The toaster was missing. The coffee maker was broken. The shower was dysfunctional at times. The microwave did not work. The WiFi dropped as you changed floors. Room service was scant. Very few restaurants on the property. A shuttle bus took us to Whaler’s Village. But it was not air conditioned. On the positive side, the beach walk was great and the sunset views were awesome. The staff was courteous.

A Tip-top. Resort….

This sprawling resort is like no other. It’s big and bustling, yet never seems overcrowded. There are numerous pools and many loungers to while away the hours and take in the rays.
Situated right on Ka’anapali Beach, one of, if not the best beach in North America, you have the best of swimming and snorkeling just outside your villa. A spectacular boardwalk runs along the beach for the early morning walkers and joggers.
You could stay on the resort sampling its restaurants (3), using its exercise facilities and treating yourself to the spa and its many treatments, but a car will allow you to enjoy the many facets of the Valley Isle.
Besides the onsite restaurants, the resort offers a free shuttle to nearby shops and eateries. (I mean, complete or what!)
You are treated to villas that are exceptionally fitted out. Nice comfy beds, a living room, great bathrooms and washer/dryers and all this in the smallest studio units right up to the three bedrooms.
This is essentially a timeshare property, although you can rent villas on the Marriott website.
The last (and perhaps the best) thing about this property is its staff. Great, friendly people who welcome you with ‘Aloha’ and who will ensure you a great stay on the Islands

BEWARE!!!

As retired guests looking for a peaceful retreat, we flew in excited for a relaxing 5 night stay at this timeshare hotel. Unfortunately, our experience has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing.
Upon arrival, we faced a painful 1 hour wait in the lobby, where we heard many other guests expressing their frustrations. The atmosphere felt anything but welcoming. Once we finally checked into our room, we were immediately hit with relentless noise from the jacuzzi, water slide, and pool right outside our slider. It was the exact opposite of the calm escape we were hoping for. We have HIGH stressful jobs and came to Maui for a quiet reprieve.
To make things worse, the cleanliness of our room was unacceptable, with mildew covering the shower. This is not the standard we expect from Marriott. When we contacted the front desk and Marriott directly to request a quieter room, our request was rejected.
This trip has been a significant letdown, far from the getaway we imagined. We feel misled and strongly recommend against booking a vacation package here. Save yourself the hassle and consider a different hotel that genuinely cares about guest comfort.
