Vito is awesome

this place rocks. the concierge vito was the best person i’ve ever met in my life. he was so accommodating and generous to help us outsiders feel comfortable in a new city. he was extremely pleasant and i would love to come back to experience his great service again.

Vito at the front desk is disgusting!

Vito was dishonest and disgusting. The night before encountering him, we discovered our room lacked washcloths, cups, and all bathroom amenities—and the phone didn’t work to call the front desk. At 5am, I went down to report it (I was heading to see the taping of GMA). The lady gave excuses like delayed deliveries and forgetful housekeepers noting "there are 760 rooms, things happen." Inappropriate. When I returned from my early morning outing, I went to the desk where Vito was chitchatting with the concierge. He looked up at me in line and continued his conversation. He eventually acknowledged me. I politely asked him to check if the service request for the phone repair had been completed. He responded, "I'm sure if they put it in, it will get done." I explained to him that I wanted to check before going up to avoid not being able to call and coming back down or having my nap interrupted. He called a number that got no answer. Then we just sat silently for a while. He then began typing on the computer before getting up and walking to the back office. He returned and with great confidence told me he confirmed my phone has been fixed. I went up. The phone was indeed not fixed. I returned and asked a bellman for a manager. She was very professional and empathetic. She sent an engineer right away. By the time I reached the room he was finishing up repairing the A/C that we weren't fully aware was broken. He had to turn around to then repair the phone. Guest services followed up with us multiple times after this. Later that evening, when we returned from our broadway show, I stopped at the desk to confirm our late checkout request had been made. This women was pleasant, until she opened up my profile. I can tell dishonest Vito had left some unfavorable comments about me based on how long it took her to read (checking for late checkout doesn't taking long). How dare he, I was extremely polite to him. Her demeanor and tone drastically changed. She told me she didn't see anything about checkout, and that I could talk to a manager when they arrive at 7am. Totally strange considering the request was a normal one that she could have accommodated. If it weren't for the manager, the front desk employees Carolyn and Emmanuel, the engineer, and Alvin, I would have been extremely disappointed in our experience at the Park Central Hotel. Also, there are no refrigerators in the room.

Worst customer service

When I arrived at the hotel at 4 pm I was informed that there had been an emergency so they could not accommodate us. We did not understand the criteria as some people got checked-in while others were not. We were told that “they were just waiting for a letter and they would transfer us to a near and equivalent hotel”. Half an hour later, as we were still waiting, I went to the guest relations and I was told “it is coming right out” - and we are still waiting, and another 20’ have passed and nobody says anything to us.
this is not the customer service I anticipated from Park Central Hotel, and not at all what I expected when I booked this hotel.

Wisconsinites here for fun.

Vito at the front desk was an angel!!! We felt very welcomed! The lobby was clean and comfortable. The lounge area was very nice and comfortable also. I was very impressed with the ease of check in. Everything was in a convenient location near hotel

Great location, right on the subway. Great hotel, great feeling inside. Stay here

Kim our room attendant was amazing. She took great care of us. So friendly and helpful. Our check in agent also did an amazing job, after a difficult start. Great place to stay. So close to the subway. Central Park a few streets away time square a few streets the other way. Perfect location

Our incidental hold is $100 per night. The incidental hold is released upon checkout. The system will hold the funds until check out, before it gets released. Debit and international cards tend to take longer to be released, however, I can confirm that domestic credit cards get released quicker by their financial institution.
