PA university campus tours, and stay at Sonder the Witherspoon to visit Philadelphia

Stayed at the clean and comfortable Sonder the Witherspoon aparthotel (Room #900) to visit Philadelphia for a few days. Used the info filled Sonder app for a smooth check-in and check-in process!
We rented a car at PHL from the surprisingly affordable Sixt-Rent-a-Car. The facility was clean and the staff at the PHL pick-up and at the downtown Philly drop off locations were super courteous and friendly. We drove directly to Bethlehem for two nights to visit the gorgeous Lehigh campus.
We stopped by Sonder the Witherspoon to store our luggage at the storage lockers, without issue, thankfully, prior to returning the rental car. We did not want to deal with the cost of parking and driving in the city.
Sonder the Witherspoon is well located for sightseeing (Old City district/Liberty Bell), particularly if you are comfortable walking and taking public transportation vs driving around in a car in the city. Used the well designed and easy SEPTA app for buses & metro/subway trains - we even used the handy app to get us to the beautiful Villanova University campus, and the impressive UPenn campus.
The Sonder-recommended restaurants are nearby (try Double Knot for happy hour) and local boutique shopping (Shop at the lovely Paper on Pine - such pretty items with friendly service). Remember to take advantage of no sales tax for clothes shopping. Walk over to Rittenhouse Square and to Reading Terminal Market place for a bite to eat.
We took a day trip to NYC by train (much preferred vs by bus) on a whim. Better to plan ahead though for even cheaper tickets - Used the easy Amtrak app!
So happy we picked the convenience of Sonder the Witherspoon with its full kitchen after shopping at the Trader Joe’s nearby, and its in-unit washer and dryer to avoid having to bring a fully packed carry-on luggage. If you’re a no-frills, practical traveler, you should opt to stay here.

Sonder Witherspoon

The whole experience is nice; this is my fifth stay at the same Sonder. My family and I have stayed as long as three weeks during one of our visits and loved the amenities and the overall experience. Would definitely stay there every time we visit Phildelphia.

I really liked this place a lot ! Big spacious flat with a nice kitchen and a separate bedroom ! Nice people in reception and great location ! Will stay here next time !
