I enjoyed a peaceful stay in Saranac lake the property was lovely and the pool was nice. Short walk to Blue line brewery where I enjoyed a meal and conversation with locals.

Best should be removed from the title
Definitely book somewhere else! The pool is not heated. The towels and bedding had brown stains on them. The shower had mold/mildew around the base of the pan. The breakfast syrup and juice was so watered down it had no flavor. For having all these issues, the price was not great. Pay more and stay somewhere nicer!

Great price - good place to lay your head!
The front desk staff and staff in general were great! The hotel is a little older but the price was great. The sheets were clean - the bathroom was clean. This is really all you need. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was part of the deal...we opted for a place in town - helping to support the local economy. All-in-all, Saranac Lake was a nice place to visit.

Not what it was
Stay here 6 years ago and the place was okay. We stayed here 3 nights in March and were really disappointed . The place is worn and tired and needs a complete renovation. The carpets are worn and dirty. The breakfast was ok but the room was too small. The tables in the breakfast area were all worn and scratched and tippy, needed napkins underneath to steady them. The rooms were clean however the beds were only made once and the towels and linen were so old and thin. The cost of the room especially on a weekend is way too high for what you get. The value for you dollar is awful. We are Best Western members but will never stay here again.

Horrible. Rooms smelt. Breakfast was disgusting. Stains on the sheets and mirrors.
