Lovely rooms near the sights

This was our first time to Split. Our rooms at Wind Rose were very nicely decorated, immaculate, very comfy beds and a good shower. The location was up a side street, only a short distance from the waterfront and city.
Duje was there to meet us and was very welcoming. As it was a Sunday the supermarket had closed so only wish we'd had more than 2 coffee drinks (I know typical brits!!) We did ask for any recommendations for local restaurants to go to and wasn't disappointed when we went to Kod Jose. Fab restaurant and food. There was a fab bakery a few minutes down the street for lovely pastries and a supermarket where you could get most things. There was a fridge in the room to keep the drinks chilled. I only wish we had booked the room with a balcony as we missed having an outside area to sit in.
We loved Split walking along the waterfront, the lovely old town with cobbled streets so many restaurants and bars to choose from. There was so much to see Diocletians palace, bell tower, cathedral, the massive Gregory of Nin statue.
There was always a fab atmosphere on the evening at the Palace square where musicians and singers played and people sat and enjoyed a drink or just listening to the music. There were male opera singers doing short performances in the grounds, absolutely fantastic setting and voices!! We did Krka waterfall trip well worth it. We didn't have lots of time here so will need to return and explore the surrounding area more and visit the nearby islands.

Best sleep I had in ages!

I had a pleasure to stay at this cozy place and eat really nice breakfast at nearby restaurant. The public parking is only few meters from apartment. Host meet me on check-in and showed me where is the best place to park and cheap places to eat out.

Amazing stay!

Would give it even 6* if I could... the place is great and has all you need... we took the studio with small kitchen area and balcony and really enjoyed our stay. The place is super clean, has all the amenities you need and is situated couple minutes walking from the center. The public parking is just in front (5kn an hour or 60/day... Saturday after 2 pm and Sunday for free). Excellent bakery “Pekara Solin” is just behind the corner and you need to get a local pastry for breakfast there as it is spotless!! Thank you so much for everything!!

Honeymoon

We recently had a two night stay as part of our honeymoon in Croatia . The accommodation and location were all fantastic.The old town is a short stroll away and shops , restaurants and bars all close by . The bus station and port is less than a 15 minute walk.
We would most definitely recommend Wind Rose.

Lovely stay

Our room was ready for an early check in which was very helpful. The host was lovely, giving us recommendations for during our stay as it was our first time visiting Split. The room was a good size, modern and immaculate! Bed was very comfortable and the shower was powerful. The location was ideal for us, not a long walk into the old town/ promenade areas but far enough away to escape the business of the centre. We would definitely recommend Wind Rose to others visiting Split and would return ourselves.
