we have been in ribe before and have seen this hotel before. Then we were thinging we need to test is.

The hotel is from 1704 and is naturally not to modern standards, that was expected. However, as I travelled with my 88 year old mother, I must say that the extremely steep stairs (essentially a ladder) to get up on first floor to the rooms, was a tough challenge for her with her hurting knees.
I was not prepared for one shared bathroom between the ten rooms. That could be me missing that info during the booking process.
The doors were of the plank type, you'd normally find in barns. Yes, it's an old hotel, but as you pay for a hotel room, one does not expect to be exposed to the farting noises of the neighbours of the hotel.
Overall, certainly an experience. That said, I would not recommend this hotel to people with any sort of disability, nor to families where carrying family members are required.

Combined dishes of Danish cuisine

Overlooking the Cathedral, this café offers combined Danish cuisine. It is an interesting option for a quick lunch, without detracting from its quality. We have a combination of prawns with avocados and roe and pork tenderloin in mustard sauce; and tb another combination of meatballs (frikadel) and herring. Very nice. Recommended.

Great location!
Wi-fi connection was weak and spotty. There was a constant smell of dirty frying oil for fried fish, day and night, as the rooms are above the restaurant. We were awoken at 6am by loud workers and a squeaky loud ladder working in the courtyard. Only one toilet and one shower for multiple rooms.

Super cute and quaint. Very clean! The staff was so friendly and helpful, especially Jeppe.
