Very good meal, local products
Very good meal cooked with local products from the village shops. The welcome is perfect, as is the service. Last meal of our Annotains stay on May 11, 2024. The gourmet coffee is excellent! The room is spacious and pleasant. The terrace must also be there on sunny days…

Bedbugs in 2 beds!
We stayed 1 night for a wedding nearby. As a family with 2 children.
We arrived at the room at 3am, after the wedding reception. At first glance, the room seems "ok" for a 2 star, I expected worse.
Except that when she goes to bed, my daughter sees 2 small spiders on the sheets in my bed. I explain to him that it can happen, no problem, nothing bad. So I started to undo the sheets and there: a little dark brown critter running through the sheets. At the time, I thought of a tick! The resemblance was striking even though I had never seen one in real life. After isolating her and drowning her in the bathroom sink, I undo the sheets on the other bed, my son's. And in the fold of the fitted sheet for a second!!! The horror I wanted to go sleep in the car. Obviously no one at reception at this time. I had to undo all the sheets at 3 a.m. to be “somewhat” sure I could put my children to sleep in a “healthy” place. Obviously we slept with the light on, and I tried to resist all night trying to keep watch so that one of my children wouldn't end up with this bug on him/her. Looking online, I realize it’s bedbugs!! I had never seen one! I spent a night of anxiety and when day broke we left as quickly as possible.
I told the man at the reception about it by showing him the photos (it must have been the boss) who told me that he apologized and that he thanked me for telling him about it because when we told him about it he treaty! I didn't realize the mess in his head, but he didn't seem surprised and obviously if he's treating it, it's not the first time. Overall, we paid €100 per night (x4 people) for not sleeping peacefully, and obviously at the risk of taking some with me in my suitcase. I had to throw my things in the suitcase and the suitcase with it, in which obviously wedding suit etc... the gentleman made no commercial gesture as you can imagine, the few customers he has, he does not want let go of nothing.
Especially to be avoided if you don't want to be infested in your home. And lose money too in the process. Afterwards maybe we came across the wrong room who knows... in the photos I circled the location in case this gentleman responded by saying that no one informed him of the case or that it wouldn't be his place. But when he sees the drain in his sink he will recognize it.

Pour faire suite à votre avis qui ne manque pas de nous interpeller vu le caractère méprisant pour les hôtels 2 étoiles qui visiblement ne correspondent à votre image.
Nous vous avons expliqué que nous avions un contrat à l'année pour les insectes et les rongeurs, je pense que tout hôtel à ce type de contrat. Et si nous avons souscrit ce contrat c'est par simple prévention et non parce que nous en avons déjà eu.
Sachez, que les punaises de lits de s'arrêtent pas aux portes des 4 et 5 étoiles. Il n'y a pas que les pauvres qui ont des punaises de lits cela arrive aussi aux gens riches.
Les punaises de lits sont rapportées la plupart du temps par les clients, (voir article dans la Vie pratique) qui voyagent (avion, train, bateau sur les sièges en textile sur lesquels vous vous asseyez, qui vont au cinéma et même voir lors des déménagements... et non par l'hôtelier.
Nous avions pris votre adresse mail pour vous tenir informée de la suite, mais vous n'avez pas daigné attendre.
Nous tenons à vous informer que depuis presque 10 ans nous travaillons dans cet hôtel et si il est toujours là c'est simplement que nous avons des clients, sinon, nous aurions mis la clef sous la porte.
Et effectivement, devant un tel mépris, nous ne ferons aucun geste commercial.
Effectivement, vous qui ne mélangez pas les torchons et les serviettes passez votre chemin.
Et si vous lisez les avis que nous avons, vous verrez que nous sommes bien noté pour un 2 ETOILES!!!

Superb stay
Family hotel, great welcome, the boss did not hesitate to give us a quadruple room for the price of two because the hotel was full. Simple, but there is everything you need, restaurant on site, good breakfast. Very good value for money. I will come back very happily. THANKS

Le restaurant
The lad serving us was really friendly but from the menu to the table the ‘steak’ had managed to magically transform itself into a raw cold burger... so 10/10 for meal entertainment.
For 10.0€ you could say its value for money but to put things into perspective; you can buy a McDonalds burger (cooked) with lettuce and decent chips for 3€..:
For a 4,5 stars rated restaurant experience I was left rather underwhelmed.

Old fashioned basic hotel, but very friendly, clean and wonderful setting
It has old fashioned charm, and a wonderful warm welcome from the young couple who speak excellent English. The rooms were comfortable in the heart of a very pretty village. The evening meal was delicious. Our stay was quiet and peaceful, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The village is in the heart of mountains, served by the wonderful little railway from Nice. Superb walks straight from the village. All very clean and unspoilt.
