I was in misery again... (that's the name of the district).
OK. My satnav led me into misery. However, I really thought that I was lost because from Munich, you are led across the fields and different districts. You completely lose your bearings. A nice room (unfortunately without elevator) in Bavarian style. With many details (which are not even available in large hotels on the Rhine with many mosquitoes): a balcony with fly screen doors. A nice selection of free drinks. Unfortunately, something I don't like: separate bathroom and toilet where you have to walk across the aisle. And unfortunately no possibility to close the bathroom. Therefore, there was always a smell of the bathroom in the room to notice. Staff at reception, restaurant, breakfast and departure: super nice. Dinner: Schnitzel or fish... Carp... should I or shouldn't I... I've been told since childhood: tastes oily... But they have trout: no trout milliner has eaten in ages: a good idea - or not. They have GIANT trout here and we only have their children. This also made it a lot of meat and therefore also very soft and seemed cooked through. With us, they are smaller and therefore the meat is firmer and the house crispier. Also: the almond leaves are missing. But that wasn't bad: Here they had the best roast potatoes south of the Mittelland Canal. They could hardly have done better in northern Germany. And northern Germany, as you know, is the kingdom of fried potatoes. At breakfast: a nice selection, but a little surprising: here I would have expected home-cooked jam and instead a lot of packaged things: because probably not so much is consumed and therefore you have to protect food. For the next sentence I get a travel ban for Hesse and Rhineland-Palatinate: I had to hold back from eating the whole liver sausage (or basis for the liver spelt). Delicious... really delicious... even the small portions of fresh fruit... Eggs are offered directly and you didn't have to ask. One reason to come back: the thickest, softest, fluffiest towels. I will soon sleep on it or take my bring-alongs and theirs for it: that is not stolen if I leave mine there - is it???

Good food, friendly service, nice garden
This restaurant has a very good reputation in the area and manages to keep this good service for decades now.
I had ordered the 'Red Thai Curry', which had tasted really great.
I'm going there again soon, just because of the Thai Curry !

Wow! Amazing value & FANTASTIC food in a beautiful area.
I was lucky enough to have this hotel/restaurant recommended to me by a local - I was so glad!
Admittedly, a big reason for giving 5 stars here was the evening meal at the restaurant, which was as good as I have eaten anywhere (including at some very high class places), but the hotel building was so nice, with interesting features, and the value was such that I could give no less than top marks.
The hotel is not pretentious in any way; the rooms are not huge, but they have all that you need for a comfortable night. The staff were very friendly and made me feel genuinely welcome. Rather than being modern and clinical, the hotel has a far more rustic feel, and even just being shown to my room I was impressed with the place. All of the rooms on the front of the building have a shared balcony, with a screen to keep out any beasties, which was a nice bonus.
The food is delicious, without feeling the need to give a tiny child's portion stacked up in an 'artful' way. Local produce is served, including their own trout (the oven-baked version served with gnocchi is definitely recommended) and the local Weiss beer goes down well too! Having a large outdoor eating area, coupled with the warm dry weather only added to the experience.
Sleep quality was fine with the exception of the overly soft pillows that seem to be the norm in my limited experience with German hotels - 2 of them folded in half still felt like I had no support. I didn't notice any traffic noise (though I routinely take ear plugs on my trips now).
Breakfast is available from 6.30 and was in my opinion slightly limited, though to be fair I still felt full from the previous evening (that dessert was so unnecessary!) so I was happy enough. My colleague took me for some freshly made pretzels which topped my up in time for my flight anyway.
The biggest shock was checking out.... bed and breakfast came to only... 45 Euros!!! Now I am not sure if this was a mate's rate, as my colleague was a regular, but I was blown away. Add in the evening meal for 2 (including salad courses, coffee/dessert and a couple of beers each) and the total bill came to less than 100 Euro - a far cry from the previous night, where B&B for me only, was 144 Euro!
The Bavarian landscape and architecture are very nice indeed, and if you are travelling in the vicinity of this hotel/restaurant it would be a crime not to pop in for at least a meal.

Essen war super.
Leider war eine Übernachtung dieses Mal nicht möglich, da bei Anfrage bereits alle Zimmer belegt waren. Trotzdem haben wir es uns nicht nehmen lassen, im Fischerstüberl zu essen. Obwohl ziemlich viel los war und der Service alle Hände voll zu tun hatte, waren wir mit dem Essen und dem Aufenthalt rundum zufrieden. Dass man an einem Samstag Abend bei herrlichem Wetter ein bisschen mehr Zeit mitbringen muss, ist selbstverständlich und wir können die Leute, die sich über ein bisschen Wartezeit aufregen, nicht verstehen. Man sollte lieber die Gastfreundschaft, das tolle Ambiente und das leckere Essen genießen.

Wir waren rundum zufrieden.
Das Hotel ist einfach aber sehr urig. Kleine romantische (manche würden sagen - altmodisch) Zimmer - sehr sauber. Bei Problemen wegen Kissen oder ähnlichem, wird sofort geholfen. Frühstück in einer etwas anderen Räumlichkeit - sehr gemütlich und Personal sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und auch schon morgens mit einem Lächeln und offenen Ohr für die Gäste.
Restaurant ist empfehlenswert. Auch hier sticht das freundliche Personal hervor und das Essen war super.
Wir waren rundum zufrieden und kommen sicher wieder.
