Overall a lovely stay
We had a lovely stay in week 29. We stayed in Ösel1 and arrived at a clean and neat home in a cosy and natural setting.
The property was equipped with a dishwasher, freezer and necessary kitchen equipment and service to cook food in it.
We have little children who wake up at night and therefore wish that there was a possibility to mount a children’s grid or a door at the steep staircase on the 1st floor, so that there was no risk of falling down in the dark.
There was no wi-fi in our home, which must be considered a shortfall compared to what one should be able to expect from a holiday home in 2026.
We experienced no noise or disturbances from other residents, only peace and tranquility.
We experienced major problems when we had to use the resort's option to charge our electric car: It was promised to charge up to 22 kW, but our car was only charged with 4–5 kW. 7 charging stands were out of service and it was shocking to learn that we had to pay for parking in addition to the charge during charging the car. Unsatisfactory service at an otherwise fine and well-run resort.
Overall, however, we had a lovely stay, and could well consider returning in the future.

Vastervik resort
Very large campsite with a beautiful location. Please note that all facilities are subject to payment (pool, bouncy castle etc.) There are far too few toilets and showers for the guests present!

Ok but no more
Nice nature, but packed with caravans, which felt a lot even if we stayed in the cottage. Expensive inside the place so we ate in Västervik or cooked ourselves in the cottage. We were going to go to the bath but avoided because of expensive for a whole family when we already paid a lot to live there. The area at our cottages was cozy. The playground - chaos with children everywhere. And walking feels like that, especially with young children. Extremely much electric scooters traveling everywhere, felt dangerous. I don't think we'll come back. There's more to discover than this.

Never again
We left 3 days early, because of the noise from drunk people, loud festival music and too many people on not that much space. The fire regulation wasn’t followed at the place we had our tent and it seem like we travelled back in time to a cowboy village.
We charged our car at the camping site, but had to pay for the parking space while it charged. This seems like a robbery.
I have never been to a more noisier camping site. Loud music and screaming people like you were on Ibiza. I can’t recommend this camping site to anyone. You need a new vacation when you get home from Västervik Resort.

Great area
We rented the cabin Rønnø which was set up in 2025. So the cabin had gone equipped and things were new.
But a little trick for it was not possible to open any windows, not even in the bedroom. Very bad air.
Also not light curtains in the living room, which is also used as an extra sleeping space with a sofa bed.
Bad bed in the bedroom.
Nice area with great walking trails.
